The new akali is the proof that riot thinks that turrets shouldn't be a defensive structure

Now true stealth isn't revealed by true vision from turret and even the fountain. So a jungle akali or a lane akali can just camp you at turret without getting attacked by it.

Riot in the past said to feeders you should play defensively or play under turret if the opponent is fed...

Yeah go play under turret when akali is fed.... you better go afk cause going back in lane or under turret would be suicidal for your team...

So what are the role of turrets niw that they cant protect you or reveal opponents ? Is it designed to be a creep killer that tries to challenge your cs score ?

Is it a decoration ? Is it an objective without any gameplay implication ?

Gotta say I agree here. What the hell Riot? This goes against basic player expectations. Towers are supposed to be safe, at least early game. Have we stopped even pretending that is the case?

Turrets aren't there to defend you, you're there to defend turrets

They're there to stop enemy minions from getting to your Nexus

Enemy champs try to destroy them, you try to destroy theirs
