Riven is a bit on the strong side

So I've been playing fairly often recently in the top lane and she is really strong. She isn't really bad in the lane phase unless it's certain matchups and with alone she can become a huge skirmisher and a great 1v1er. She also can build assassin items and still be a frontline that can take hits while doing damage. The only downfall is that her late game isn't that good due to CC and the fact that an ADC can probably kill you before you get to them. She also is very difficult to learn and play. I don't think she's OP(awaiting massive mountain of downvotes) but she is a really good champion at the moment some of you should consider picking up. What do you guys think?

I think her problem is that there are other champions that do what she does, while also providing more CC, being more tanky, more reliable/safe, having more poke, etc. I'd personnaly prefer a Renekton, an Illaoi or an Olaf on my team before a Riven.

I don't play Riven (although she was the very first champion i ever played when i first started LoL :o ) but she seems very hit-or-miss. If she falls behind, she can't do much unless she uses flash to catch a squish out of position.

Yea I agree. The main thing that separates her from the champs you stated is that she is a disrupt-er. Her main job in a teamfight is to just cause chaos and stop people from doing what they are doing.

My reasons for playing Riven is that she's the most fun and engaging champ in the game to learn and play :)
