Think about it.

KogMaw gets an (un)rework. AD Kog gets guttered. AP Kog becomes much too strong. Riot nerfs Kog because of the AP build.

Copy and paste Shaco into that. BOOM.

They nerfed AP Kog with the AP scaling reduction on E. That doesn't hurt AD Kog at all, unless he takes the mastery that gives like 10 AD/AP, and it only hurts him trivially then. Same patch they gave him an extra 1% enemy max health on every W AA.

Shaco's not the same. They nerfed base damage (hurts both) and specifically nerfed bonus AD scaling. They thought AD Shaco was too strong too, just not as OP as AP Shaco.
