What's Riot's Reason For Intentionally Ruining The Game? [RANT WARNING]

I think it's obvious Riot's trying to ruin this game. I've tried to stay optimistic, I've tried to play through all this, I've waited for it all to get fixed.

It's not.

Patch 8.4 has possibly one of the worst changes I've seen Riot do in a loooooong time. Removing every jungle item into a conglomerated mess called Pathfinder's Knife. This ruins Lee Sin. This ruins jungle diversity. Why is this a thing?

And Riot never addresses the issues we want solved. Top lane's a mess, BE system is broken, ADC's are better assassins than assassins... It's garbage.

This isn't like Apple where they can intentionally make phones worse so everyone goes out and buys a new one. If someone wants to quit LoL they will go to Dota 2, Overwatch, hell they can go play Poker and it'll be a more balanced game than this shit.

It's been like a year since they broke Cho'gath. He hasn't been fixed yet.

Twitch has been broken for several months and I don't think there's been one nerf. Wanna know why Twitch isn't a top tier ADC anymore like a few months ago? BECAUSE HE'S BEING OVERSHADOWED BY THE EVEN MORE BROKEN ADC'S.

Not to mention how Xayah and Rakan are getting 2 skins before champs that came out over a year before them (Kled, Ivern) even get 1. It makes no sense.

Everything in this game is so broken in some way it's hard to tolerate and hard to shake the belief that Riot's trying to ruin this game.

If you read this whole thing I'm sorry there's probably second-hand salt pouring out of your orifices. (orifice- an opening, as of a pipe or tube, or one in the body, such as a nostril or the anus.)

Like a battered wife i keep coming back here, checking up on the patch notes to see of riot is going to give a serious attempt at balancing the game. Yet time after time i get a slap to the face, more fool me i guess.

Riot seem to be taking this game to the more fast paced mobas that have made tencent a hella lot of money, im sorry riot but blizzard woth hots simply does this alot better so why should i stay here and hope that you pull the finger out and take the game back to what it was when i can go play something better.

I wish riot would just be honest with us and tell us which direction they are taking this game so we could either bail out or stay and fully support them, obviously its wishful thinking but alot of us here are or were commited to this game and would hate to see it fail

The problem isn't that they only care about money, it's that they have a very short sighted approach to money, they're willing to destroy a game in the process. They're not concerned with a game lasting longer to keep earning them money, because people will just move onto the next game, they'll buy that one and then kill it too.

Instead of keeping a game alive and getting more money over a longer period of time, it's faster for them to overclock the game, burn it out faster, and jump ship.

not just that even. Tencent also seems to view mobile games as direct competitors to PC games, which i don't think most people sit around their house or go to a cafe to play a game on their phone.

Makes sense to me. The games are so freakin' fast now..I have ARAMs lasting longer than many SR games and they had cut ARAMs shorter last season.

Partly why I don't play League competitively anymore. Their best two seasons, I'm my opinion, were 3 and 4. 5 waned a little bit but after 6 it just went steadily downhill. Now I just play ARAM and normal after not logging in for 3-5 week periods. It's a lot more fun that way.

Because Rito is a PIECE OF SHIT COMPANY, that's why. They never want to adress the ADC issue_<Removed by Moderation>_ That's the only explanation for yet again messing with the jungle and reducing diversity for no freaking reason.

NOTHING'S BEING DONE AT THIS POINT. Just stop playing guys, honestly. There are better games out there. I recommend Rainbow Six: Siege. It's pretty epic and skill-based unlike the shitfest that is League. If you really want a moba, Dota is ten times better than current league.

Despite the anger behind the post, nothing you said is wrong. I never thought i'd ever say this but i think i chose the perfect time to take a long break from league, haven't played in a while and with the newest pbe patch i'm not planning on returnig any time soon.

I wish i could, i even tried. but alas my laptop ain't for gaming no matter how low the graphics are. League is the only online game that works on low end pcs and Riot is slowly throwing that away as well. the preseason alone added a solid 15 ping despite nothing whatsoever changing on my end. feelsbadman

Rakan and Xayah are getting a 2nd skin before other champs because theyre the 2 lovebird champs. Their identity revolves around them being in love, and its almost valentines day. This isnt a legitimate complaint you can have or hold, theyre more than deserving of getting these skins early as they fit the thematic of the event better than literally any other champ in the game.

Riot doesnt address issues you want resolved because theres more regions than just yours, and most regions have differing metas. What is strong and in meta in your region could be weak in korea, and same with what is weak in your region. They arent fixing what youre complaining about because they have more data they need to work with than you do.

And riot already said that the jungle item change on the PBE (Yes, the PBE. Its only on the PBE) is a test to see what happens, because currently theres only 1 real viable option, and thats the ward active item.

Your second 2 parts are valid, but the first part of that irks me. Xayah and Rakan's new skins are the most gimmicky things in the game. They should have waited until next year and made 2 actually good skins. IMO the Xayah one is alright and the Rakan one is blegh. At this point they might as well have made Candy Kayn on Christmas...

You can complain about the quality, that is fine. But complaining about them being chosen over others is not, which is my point on that. Its not like they just chose them to give them special treatment; theyre literally the only logical option riot has.

As a jungler main I get why they did this... I dont get why others don't lol. It wont even nerf lee, yeah he wont be able to have scanner and wards but he will have a control ward now.

The change is specifically so Junglers cant duel as well with out red smite and honestly blue smite is what gives the most jungle diversity anyways. Its a change comming from endless complaining about "Bot isn't 2v2, its Junglers that win it!!!!" "Mid isn't 1v1, its Junglers that win it!!!!" "Top isn't 1v1, its Junglers that win it!!!!". They seem to be wanting to promote a more team promoting jungle item instead of the super greedy ones we have right now. Cant say I am a fan, but its all for the Esports, not for the "1000 AD ONESHOT REDSMITE BLUE KAYN RITO WILL NERF" youtube videos.

Overwatch is shit and it can't even be compared to league anyways. Most league players will not move to dota either because of the turn rate

I don't know any games that are like league which are better than league. Heroes of the Storm is the closest but even that is hard to compare to league

Every Mage is the same

2 aoe abilities nuke ultimate and 1 utility ability couldnt keep playing it I am annoyed that there is no look behind buttom to

Not to mention that the whole shove strategy where you just mindlessly push over lasthitting is tilting

Hots I dont even have to try to know that I ll hate it

Battlerite on the other hand would reccomend

Really, except for Talisman changes, all of the current PBE jungle changes MUSN'T hit live, it's unhealthy.

You don't mention how Machete is currently ruined, even on Tryndamere you clear better with Talisman, this show how the current changes are not fine as such.

They just wanted to test it on PBE i assume, cause it's really bad if it hit live as such.
