Don't talk about champions being bad and in need of buffs/reworks unless you play them

Do not base your assertions simply because of numbers/changes you saw on the patch notes

if you like to be audible about champions you don't play, you are creating more problems.

You are the reason why post-rework Ryze was initially buffed. Twice.

thank you.

"Zed lacks counterply, his decent waveclear involves using his only escape but I still complain about both, his Qs are impossible to dodge because I stand in melee range as Orianna, he kills me at level six because I got hit by all three Qs and I ulted the air and I never built a zhonyas all game, but instead I built nashors because pwoerofevil did it, rito ploz nerf"

I agree.

They are the reason high skillcap champions like Khazix Rengar Zed are trash tier now.

I don't know man, people who are constantly under fear of being wrong end up doing nothing instead,is that really better?

Let's say that I see a champion(who I never play),with a low pickrate+a healthy kit(as in,not evelyn, fucking toxic broken garbage),which consistently gives me the impression of a weak champion(Also maybe I have friends who play it and say it to be weak, may or may not be the case),I'm going to upvote every buff thread for that champion(not the rework ones though).

Why? the way I see it,I'm more likely to be right than I am to be wrong, and if I'm right a champion who is weak will be placed in a better spot, however,if I'm wrong a champion who has been considered weak for a long time will get more attention, since his kit is healthy even when too strong he won't be too obnoxious, and after he is nerfed into a good spot people will remember he exists and you will have a healthy champion seeing more play,so more variety.

It's a win-win really.

There's little point to it anyways. Riot doesn't take balance advice from players, we are ALL biased in this. Riot has the numbers to look at. K/D/A, pick/ban rate, win/lose rate, cs rate, typical build rates, average AD/AP built, crits, heals, cc, ect. They look at the numbers and go from there, in that way they can keep things much more unbiased and fair.

Why doesn't Riot take advice from players? Ask yourself this, why was Riot so hesitant to nerf LeeSin for so long?

... you have your answer.

That wasn't the reason why post-rework Ryze was initially buffed.

People tried out the new Ryze in a few games and thought he was trash, and that was why he was buffed.

It wasn't until after his buffs that people saw how broken his new snare was when maxed first since no one was maxing it first. Everyone was probably maxing his Q first because that's what they did before the rework, and look at what he became.

Then again, I do agree with your statement. You don't know how good or bad something is until you try it out in-game, including items.

thePandev7/18/2015, 10:19:55 PM3 votes

Not only that, but asking for nerfs about champions you haven't played either. That's the most annoying part of it IMO. Most people say Riven is OP, they just don't know how to play against her. These are the same Rivens I stomp as goddamn Nasus (Happened 3 times this season in ranked), and with many other champions, even against those that use animation cancelling.

UpRyzer7/20/2015, 2:50:49 AM2 votes

Even then you probably shouldn't talk about it unless you're good enough to balance an entire game with literally thousands of variables. Tons of people say crap like "balanced" or that is so op when in all reality it is just the other player getting beaten by someone using a kit properly. Usually if players use the kit correctly, there is always going to be a one sided battle since, in an equal skill situation, one champion is going to either be weaker or stronger than their opponent.

Mordekaiser needs some love nothing too much his early game is simply too punishing for that late game fantasy that he never will have since he is a mid-game champ

id like to see a test patch were morde no longer has any health costs but riot is too scared of the big metal guy

FantasySniper7/18/2015, 11:38:21 PM2 votes

The only time I would simply assume how powerful the champion is when I have genuinely seen them enough in game, or their statistics strongly support that claim. Otherwise, I am in full agreement with your statement.

Completely agree, gain actual knowledgeable facts, then open your mouth untill then keep it shut.

I'd like to add an addendum; don't call a reworked champion shit when you keep trying to play them like they still have their old kit. The whole point of a rework is to force a champion to play differently, and if you're still trying to play Veigar like a pick mage instead of a teamfight oriented control mage, you're going to have a bad time. Old Veigar was basically an alternative version of Syndra; new Veigar is far more similiar to Anivia. If you try to play Anivia like you're playing Syndra, of course you're going to have a bad time.

Teemo Short range (kinda) mage that effectively has no ultimate after the support hits level 9 Mordekaiser Also short range and no way to stick to his target despite being a burn mage

Personally I think you should judge a person's post by the content in the post, not the person themselves. But hey, it's what all the cool kids do.

Rework Warwick pls item 3070

Saianna7/19/2015, 4:16:43 PM1 votes

I've played:

Tristana = needs tweaks for her AA, buffs for AP part, maybe add some AD scalling for R Elise = needs some serious love with buffs. Like immediately... Veigar = Eehhh.. he's kind of... eh... OK'ish? otta fix his dark matter to be more reliable without stun .... Did i miss something? Oh Right Cassiopeia = rework that piece of Stashu. But this time, as poison mage.

Caelus Berry7/19/2015, 4:58:34 PM1 votes

bring old karma back item 3070

Silven7/19/2015, 10:54:16 PM1 votes

Why? I never played Veigar, but I played against him a few times after his changes, and I felt so sad that I just pointed out he needed buffs.

Just because I don't play the champion myself doesn't mean I can't tell when he's been nerfed beyond common sense and requires buffs.

CrazedPorcupine7/19/2015, 5:04:27 AM1 votes

So, I'm entitled to talk about changes to Karma, Veigar, and Soraka. Sounds good to me.

(PS, I don't think any of them are in a bad spot really. Karma is pretty good right now, and Soraka is nicely niche. Veigar is also pretty decent and is a good niche pick).
