Power Spikes are hard to learn and understand

When learning a champ, it is not immediately obvious when they have powerspikes. To a new player the concept of powerspikes is not immediately obvious (it took me a very long time to get it, but I now PERFECTLY understand it).

Is there a good way to make this easier for new players to understand?

For example, while all champs spike at levels 2 and 6, some spike around 9, like Vladimir .

Power spikes are when certain champions hit certain levels, or get certain items, which improve their scaling drastically ( EG Fizz withitem 3057 ) This allows them, once they hit this spike, to increase their power exponentially. (Vlad's scaling is incredible by late game, but he pays with a weak early game.) This simple enough?

Experience, getting a feel for how numbers work on champion kits, reading the guides that high elo players make for each champion (they will come out and say most of the time 'this is how your kit works, these are your strong timing windows (spikes), these items synergize unusually well with your kit and getting them causes a large jump in power, etc.).

If you pick one champion and explore their matchups vs every other champion enough you will learn how all champions scale as a matter of trying to find your best windows to trade and fight them. The exact degree of your understanding and how up to date it is when considering changes to balancing and new items, etc, is a large part of the skill of estimating power - and this is a key part of getting better at the game.
