While the honors you can give people are important traits for a good player

They are also WOEFULLY narrow in scope. There are SO many things that you could honor somebody for, and the fact that there are now less things to honor people for in the NEWER system is a bit ridiculous to me. Let's take a look at each one.

Tilt proof, stayed cool all game. This is a good thing to honor somebody for, and it's something all players should strive to be. But how do you know they weren't tilted? Just because somebody didn't flame me in chat doesn't mean they weren't screaming their head off at their monitor every time I fucked up (Trust me, I do it as a substitute to doing it in chat to spare my team mates the salt. It actually helps).

Great shotcaller. Also another good one, but also incredibly hard to justify in most cases. When I think of a shotcaller, I think of constant shots being called every minute, Go dragon, go baron, We caught out Morg, let's teamfight now, we aced them, get tier 2, tier 3, and inhib. I BARELY see that, and I don't do that very often, as typing that much is a hassle and likely to get me killed, yet I've still be honored for it. I honestly suggest this honor either be replaced with "Playmaker", or have playmaker added to the list of honors, as it is MUCH more applicable in a larger array of situations than Great Shotcaller is.

GG, <3. This is the only honor I don't have a problem with. It conveys it's message properly. You were a really great insert X champion here, you were super funny or you made this game a lot more fun/easier than it could have been. Stay awesome. This honor is pretty much perfect.

Honors I would like to see in the future if possible:

Excellent Vision Control: ESPECIALLY good honor for supports, could give people a reason to actually play support (recognition for one's work?)

Playmaker: You made so many plays that turned out well that you turned the tide of the game in your team's favor, OR you made one play that was so huge it turned a certain loss into an unlikely win. Things like this should be recognized.

I'm sure you guys could think of a ton of different things to honor somebody for

I approve of more being added but for tilt-proof honor... I honestly don't care if they're actually tilted or not, I will give them this honor if they got dumpstered early but still hung in there and played with the team, making good sacrifices and keep playing the game without showing to us any rage or trolly behaviour

Great shot-caller is also a leadership honor... I kind of see where you're coming from on your criticism of this one, but I do really think it should be in the list because of those games where you have that one player who focuses the objectives and keeps your team in line. In my experience... I actually see AT LEAST every third game.

TBH, I feel like more should only be added if we get the option to honor more than 1 teammate.

tilt proof isn't for people that didn't say mean things to you when you fucked up, its for the guy that got camped and shit on but still played the game well instead of passively inting.

Playmaker: You made so many plays that turned out well that you turned the tide of the game in your team's favor

honoring is supposed to be about the players mindset not about being flashy faker or just being a good player.

Honoring is about recognizing the contribution somebody made towards your team winning the game. Making a play/s is making a contribution to your team winning the game. You don't need to be Faker to do that

pretty positive riot stated that honoring was never about carrying and or winning the game.

You use the categories as you see fit. I would take a more broad approach with the first two, though the GG category is definitely a catch-all for when you just think somebody deserves the honor but don't fit the others.

Tilt-Proof: I don't care if they're screaming obscenities at their monitor all game. I only care about their gameplay and how they compose themselves in the game itself. I would give this to the person who stays positive even though the game gets off to a rocky start, and they encourage the team to stick with it because they see you've got a better late game, or are better in teamfights and just need to group up and put their ults together to win the game. This category is inherently a bit limited because it requires some level of adversity existing in order to earn it. Like, the ADC that goes 5/0 in lane and hard-carries the game might not have tilted, but they had no reason to. Not tilting in that situation is not an accomplishment. I could also extend tilt-proof to situations where somebody might have been willing to give up their role in champ select. Or especially if their role is stolen from them and they just make it work as best they can.

Shotcaller: Sure, somebody constantly calling things throughout the game would deserve this. But I don't think it requires constant shotcalling to earn it. Heck, sometimes a single call can be the turning point that results in a win. If somebody actively made the call for that and it won us the game, I'll give this one out.

That said, I do think another category or two couldn't hurt, especially since it doesn't seem like the specific types you get are reflected in the flair that shows the next game. Something geared towards recognizing a support could be cool, though I'm a bit biased there.

U don't and u don't need to really know if he was behind his computer. If he don't disrupt your game with whining in chat its enough, if he don't feed stupid and recover from his early mistake its worth to be honored too.

Great shotcaller. Also another good one, but also incredibly hard to justify in most cases.

U have ping. don't know what u need more.

When I think of a shotcaller, I think of constant shots being called every minute,

YOU thinkk this. A shotcall isn't all min/sec its only when needed to debloc the game, accelerate it...

I honestly suggest this honor either be replaced with "Playmaker", or have playmaker added to the list of honors, as it is MUCH more applicable in a larger array of situations than Great Shotcaller is.

no need to replace it. It'll help to know what kinds of player u have in ur team.

Excellent Vision Control: ESPECIALLY good honor for supports, could give people a reason to actually play support (recognition for one's work?)

Useless. To begin vision control isn't only support job, but full team. Team work (the gg thing) is already enough for reward supp. Even if at lower it seems like u have more difficulty to reconize a good supporting.

Playmaker: You made so many plays that turned out well that you turned the tide of the game in your team's favor, OR you made one play that was so huge it turned a certain loss into an unlikely win. Things like this should be recognized.

gg is enough for this. Btw, do u really wan't more Hasagi player go in 1v5 ?

i think there should be a thanks for the carry honor because it is hard sometimes to admit that you're getting carried and people can be difficult for it so its just like hey thanks for winning that match for us

I feel like you woefully misunderstand the current honors.

Someone who was chill all-game doesn't mean that they never got upset. It just means they never let their emotions get the better of them to the point of ruining the game. Sure people can be tilted regardless, but if they're not letting that tilt negatively impact the game then that mentality needs to be rewarded.

Believe it or not, it is not ALWAYS easy to stay chill. For some people sure it might be much easier, but even the happiest people have their bad days Lux

Shotcaller is essentially just for anyone who made good choices or helped lead the team to victory. Honestly out of all 3 honors I see this one as being the least common one given out, but that's not a bad thing.

I feel like 'Vision Control' is just as narrow if not more narrow then all the categories we have combined. Like sure every1 contributes to vision, but in the end it's noticeably just the support who makes a significant difference in this regard. It would be VERY rare you gave this to someone who isn't in the support role. I feel like there are much better ways to give support players recognition other then spoon feeding them an honor.

As for Playmaker I don't think this one is nessecarily a bad idea, I just feel like it's not NECESSARY in itself. Basically it kind of just gels into Shotcallers presence as being for a specific player who was a massive contribution to the team winning.

My Support Rakan that Flash + W + Ulti'd into the enemy backline nabbing us a triple kill? I'd say he was DEFINITELY calling the shots there. Our Toplane Nautilus who managed to hook the fed Xayah through her Gragas? I'd throw him a GG for playing well. Our camped Jarvan toplane who fed Jax but managed to come back late game? I'd say he deserves a tiltproof for not giving up after he was getting tower dived repeatedly.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think this system is perfect by any standard, but I really do think that amongst all things the system wouldn't benefit from being anymore more convoluted then it is. I mean it's already more complicated then Overwatch's system and that's not really a good thing. Overwatch's system is good in that it does a great job in making 1 or 2 people feel special, Leagues' new system does just that, but a little more. Hell even getting ONE honor post game feels nice. Even if it's just from my Duo partner or something. Throwing in 2 more Honor categories would just make for too many choices post-game.

TL:DR; the current system works well currently as it's quite simplistic. Start throwing in more options and it will become convoluted and tedious, as oppose to quick, a little cute and fun.
