Teamwork as a one-way street

Alongside the all assassin meta that has plagued the community for some time now, there is another meta that is substantially more toxic, especially in a game all about cooperation, and that is a supreme lack thereof. The idea that, no matter what role or champion you are, everyone is there to help you, but not the other way around. That if something, anything in your game goes wrong, that everyone else is to blame, not yourself, regardless of how massive or obvious those mistakes may be.

I keep getting matched in games with people who are extremely hyper aggressive to a fault, and before the five minute mark they've already died four times. They run ahead of the supports or whoever has the crowd control, burn every summoner spell and their ult to engage the enemy first, and usually they're dead by the time the rest of the team arrives. If they are last into the fight and both sides have already disengaged, they'll start up the fight again, no matter the odds, even if they are outmatched five to one.

If anything else, more than the assassin meta, the outright refusal to cooperate is the most toxic part of the League. The assassin meta ends up being the perfect conduit for this, because if you can do nothing but damage, there's very little room for teamwork to occur. Everyone is an island, in it only for themselves and see to such a short sighted degree all the wards in the universe would not help you.

The best teamwork feature they can give us imo is that they make the total gold pretty much shared.

All player still retain their share of gold, but all of us will be given the option to donate a certain amount to the other player, so earning gold becomes a team thing instead of an individual thing like today's laning phase.

It will ease up meta as well, I think.

That leads to a lot of issues ripe for abuse, not the least of which is gaining power you didn't earn. It would also lead to a sense of entitlement that certain roles are required to donate money to their teammates, namely the support and jungler. The jungler already gives up mobs for their teammates, which is gold plus a buff, and supports already have the Relic Shield (or at least the tanks do), which they can barely use themselves, even if their teammates are bleeding from all pores like an ebola patient, because most players would rather gut their family with a rusty fishhook than allow the support to kill even one minion, or are just too shortsighted to see that they have stacks that equal up to at least 320 HP. Besides, supports already donate a sizable portion of their funds to wards alone. We don't need people ordering them to fork over all their gold.

Basically, it would only exacerbate the underlying issue.

You have a point, here I thought that was an excellent idea, guess not.

You're right, people will demand most likely, support and sometimes jungler to give up their gold when the fight is slightly not in their favour.

But if this is a perfect world where people help each others out, gold sharing can be a pretty good implementation aye, but too bad this is real world.
