im not hating on the champion, but hes in a good spot right now. why is he receiving significant buffs?

that buff to his q is especially what im talking about, considering that he already bullies most champions around in lane, and doesnt really fall off anymore thanks to shojin.

i mean everything considering the stat scaling really looks like they just want to round up the numbers to make them not weird.
that attack speed/lvl buff is 1.8% at lvl 18. the rest is not going to have a huge impact either, fine.
but theyre also sneaking the heal multiplyer in for no reason. this is going to have a pretty strong impact on his already strong lane phase. what? why? hes at 50% winrate and sees decent play at the moment. why would he need this buff?

The only reason renek didnt get buffs before is because he was the best counter to yorick and riven at the time best winrate toplaners. Now riven is even in renek and yorick isnt top tier. i thought they fixed his animation cancels? wasnt that just a short lived bug?
sliceruser2 votesThey took away his ability to animation cancel with runes and gave slight ability to animation cancel with abilities. Overall he lost 1% winrate and 1% playrate from about 49.7%wr and 8.5% pr to 48.5 % wr to 7% pr last i check

right, i heared about this. one of the runes he could pick allowed him to animation cancel his q when it activated or something like that.
that was some really jank shit, and makes sense that they bugfixed it.
i guess, it makes sense then that they compensate him? im still kindof wary, because renekton isnt a bad champion atm, and even renekton mains are saying that he doesnt fall off anymore.
that used to be a thing like in season 3 when they went into cleaver and then full tank. but nowdays renekton goes like tiamat, cleaver, shojin into titanic later and never really falls off.

those stat adjustments dont really do much, but the increase of that heal multiplier is a pretty decent buff to his laning. the increased sustain makes him a lot harder to deal with early on already.

At least it's not more of "here take a bunch more damage here, a bit more damage there, several ability cooldown decreases, with some defense nerfs for good measure because who doesn't love never ending URF and nothing but burst meta?"

46% winrate and 1.5% play rate wasnt a good spot. he was garbage tier because every other top laner suddenly had conqueror available, and hes maybe the only fighter who cant use it because he cant stack it efficiently.
if this is really all just a result of renekton dropping off hard after the bugfix, it doesnt bother me. it probably would have bothered me a few weeks ago.
