#1 Reason You're stuck in Bronze / Silver is...

You only play FoTM champs. Once they drop below a 54% winrate, you move on to the next OP thing. You never have time to learn a champions mechanics this way and will end up losing more games than winning. Pick ANY champion, ANY champion at all and play 100+ games with them. I Garen tee you will win more games than you playing OP Shit.

A lot of people on the boards like to dismiss how much luck is involved in getting out of bronze/silver for whatever reason. Not everyone plays a champion that can solo carry games, and not everyone is skilled enough to solo carry games no matter who theyre playing. Ive encountered more than my fair share of players in silver especially that, imo at least, seem superior to a great many of the golds ive played with and yet the former are stuck in silver. The boards can harp on all they want about not blaming your teammates(and don't get me wrong, you shouldn't blame them for everything), but at the end of the day the teams you get play a pretty large factor in your ability to climb, especially if youre only a couple tiers better than where youre currently placed.

I managed to climb from bronze to silver in season 4, didn't play at all in season 5, and considering the posts ive been seeing on the forums pertaining to peoples placements im fully expecting to wind up in bronze 5. If that ends up being the case, I might just give up on ranked altogether, because I have no interest in dealing with that nonsense for however long itll take to climb out of it.

I play the champions I'm best at.

I lose to FoTM champions because they're easy bullshit.

Same here. But I've found it best to just focus on not feeding when matched against a bullshit FoTM champ. That simple thing goes a really long way. Not enough to climb out of Bronze ez pz but enough to hit at least a 50% win rate in Bronze.

Right.

I believe I got about a 60% winrate last season, Zac jungle is super good if your team is alright. :^)

I'm convinced getting out of Bronze is entirely lucked based. You have to hope that your teammates are better than the enemy more times than not, otherwise there is nothing you can do. All this stuff that high elo people say about not blaming teammates is patently false.....to a certain extent which I will get into.

I had a game yesterday that cemented this fact in my mind. I was doing well. I got pretty fed had good cs, hit my powerspike. I could effectively shut down anyone on the enemy team at will. We even had a fed Rengar who was killing folks left and right. We had firm control of the pace of the game. Know what the enemy team did ? The abused the fuck out of pressure. They splitpushed the fuck out of us until the game reached a point where all our power was useless because they had map control as me and my team were constantly running back and forth trying to prevent our inhib turrets from falling. We couldn't leave our base. I was the only one that recognized what they were doing. Our team was chasing too much when we should have been shoving lanes to ease the pressure so we could push back eventually. I didn't say anything because, its not the first time I've seen this and every time in the past where I pointed it out was like talking to a wall. I don't think most people even understand the importance of pressure. I don't even bother anymore.

I decided try do what I could and not blame them. I started focusing on shoving lanes. Know what happened ? I got overwhelmed. I often found my self having to decide whether to continue shoving a lane or go to a teamfight to prevent an ace, nearly all the the time I had to make this decision while there was another lane to be shoved. There is no way I could shove two lanes and teamfight effectively. Even without the need to teamfight, shoving two lanes takes a lot of fucking time. All I did was delay the inevitable.

We eventually lost the game. My team even acknowledged how well I did. One of them even apologized for wasting my effort. Point is, solo carrying is mostly a dream. Now I said mostly because I believe the only way to solo carry is by learning bullshit champs. Fizz for example, I believe can solo carry bad teams. Fizz is the closest thing to a god mode champ in LoL when used right. Zed, to a lesser extent and Yasuo are also champs that can effective solo carry a bad team. All one has to do is learn these champs, and I don't mean just play a couple games with them, I mean really learn them. Like 200+ K mastery points learn. Learn them to the point where you don't even have to think about what to do with them, it just becomes automatic.

Yea, I could dedicate the time to learning Fizz and stomp my way out of Bronze if I wanted but then, I wouldn't be playing for fun, I'd be playing to climb. My current roster includes, Azir(main mid) Irelia(main top), Vi, Aatrox, Sona, more recently Janna, Nautilaus occasionally and a couple others. I play Azir, Irelia and Vi the most and while these champs are all very strong, they are not bullshit enough to make up for poor teamwork. I'm not saying Fizz or Yasuo isn't fun, just that Azir, Irelia etc are more fun for me. I rather play champs I enjoy playing. Fuck it, I'll stay Bronze forever as long as I'm having fun.

Nothing luck about it. Play jungle carries like Voli, feed yourself, feed your lanes, bite people's faces. Gg. Move on to the next one.

And watch Trick2G.

Woah, no hate pls, let me explain. Watch him, not because he is a sick player, but because he UNDERSTANDS what this game is about and how he can carry games (hint: da gates)

Yea, I acknowledged that certain champs can be abused to solo carry teams with shoddy team work. Question is, would I enjoy playing 50 games in a row with them. For me, fun trumps climbing. I cannot play a champ consistently if I don't enjoy them.

I got out by telling myself, don't take the gold if you can't carry. When you get ganked or are ganking don't take the kill if you can't carry with the gold you get. If you aren't good at carrying, play a high CC champ and peel for other people

You complain about Zed Rengar and defend Lux saying she is balanced.

Considering no one actually seems to have a solid figure about how many games are required for an accurate MMR estimate, an initial lower placement (AKA the way the system works) may be offset by simply playing more. The question is "how much more", and if it's not a reasonable figure, what can be done about it?

LARLARLABAR1 votes

No people are in bronze because they play like bots get hit by every skill shot and have 60 CS at 20 min. In general, just unskilled.

The number 1 reason you're stuck in Bronze/Silver is that you consistently and repeatedly make bad decisions while also lacking the necessary knowledge to make good decisions. Champ selection doesn't matter, lane doesn't matter, and your teams, over a long period of time, don't matter.

I love when my main becomes FoTM like she is now.
