Zekes hairbringer is kinda useless because marksman don't need the crit anymore

20% AP and 50% crit?

What AP does Corki have in his build?
?

That gives Mrpen not AP
AP = more magic damage M. Pen = more magic damage

Yeah no. He said "AP", not "magic damage amps".
Maybe Perhaps Possibly There's a chance
zeke's increase AP by 20%, **not **magic damage. If you have 0 AP, it increases it by 0, so m-pen boots don't help here at all, and a sinlge ap item like voidstaff means he gains massive 16ap, thats like a single dorans ring, not directly much to speak off considering zeke's usually is finished mid-late game. Also, ap not always needs to increase magic damage, eve's E for example has a 1.0 ratio whilst dealing physical damage...
Yes you are all right in some way.
Void staff is the best %pen item on corki.
Some AP is more than no AP
It gives 20% AP too. Once your ADC gets plenty of crit, bind someone else that can use the stats.
the ap part is pretty good. but any adc gets 70+ crit and usually 100% so its nor worth
your adc's crit doesn't matter for what Deep Terror Nami means. Once your adc has more than 50% crit, just bind it to your mage or assasins. A talon with 50% more crit is damn scarry, so is a victor with 20% more ap, though it cerainly needs more coordination to be well used with them.
Another option would be telling your adc that you have zeke's and he can go for no-crit items while still getting the full crit.
Works great on spammy mages, but burst ones might have more trouble reaching the 100 ct mark often enough.
At what point in the build is this a problem? ADC's going to get 50% on 2 items and then usually go a lifesteal item (that has 0 crit). Games are ending early enough this season that I really don't think 4+ item considerations are very important.
The only ADCs getting above 50% crit that come to mind are the ones buying Essence Reaver.
Ones that don't, like Jinx, Twitch, or Cait, still benefit from it.
is pretty common on jinx, 80% crit rate is ridiculously good with her aoe rockets. And runaans makes little explosions too O:
can someone explain why jinx is starting to build runaans? I asked this question like a day ago but no real reply.
Because runaans works with her aoe explosions from her q and the additional attacks can crit now
For the same reason why a bunch of other ADC's are building it now; the item got buffed compared to pre-pre-season hurricane (before the preseason :P)
![]()
Because her rockets already gave her good multi-target damage in team fights and runaans compounds with that.
just realized, one wouldn't even think to build 6 offensive items on jinx season 5, but nowadays I almost never see a defense item like banshees or ga bought.
they just buy steraks and call it a day. free health shield if you get bursted and 25% more damage for the duration of the team fight to supplement kill and sustain potential.
It's why it's getting nerfed. Steraks on ADCs has been abused very heavily in high elo the last handful of patches.
if that was the only reason then they would make it melee only
actually exactly the opposite. Rito pulled a Rito and said, "If we made the item melee only it would limit item diversity. we like the idea of ADC's building Steraks Gauge as an alternative offensive form of defence, but currently the power for the price is too great and is taking away too much of the intended weaknesses of ADC's. Which is their inherant lack of health, tankiness, and the ability to easily withstand and turn assassination attempts."
which essentially ment "we're pulling the counterplay card in that we like this ADC counterplay option and would rather nerf the item for everyone than remove it from a certain group (ranged champions)."
Even on Jinx, it's still usually better to go for BT + Merc's +LW, instead of picking up a third crit item, possibly with a sterrak's if the game calls for it. There's definitely tons of room to fit Zeke's Harbinger into that.
Twitch and Cait I can agree with, but I somewhat regularly see people get 100% crit on Jinx with
and one of
or
. Doing so with Essence Reaver means your rockets effectively cost no mana, and because of the 2 zeal items and decent AD, means you can still siege well.
I don't ever see people build ER on Jinx. She's heavily autoattack-based so CDR provides her less benefit than it does to other AD carries, and she doesn't really have mana problems as the game goes on anyway. I'd definitely put that as a very niche build.
well, nothing boosts your dps like crit+ad(if you already have the as items), and the only other ad+crit item would be a second IE. If you really aim at just maxing out your damage, that 100% crit built is the way to go.
If your ADC doesn't need it, put it on your midlaner.
20% AP is nothing to shake a stick at.
He might need the crit chance too
Well it does free up your carry from having to get a third crit item. Full builds tend to looking something like this without a zeke support:

then depnding on team comp, they get:

A carry can forgo one of the crit items for something else if the support gets zeke's. You'll have 100% crit chance during a teamfight with an additional item, as opposed to 80% crit chance with the 3 crit items.
I usually just tell my ADC I plan on getting Zeke's so they don't have to get another crit item and they can get to other things faster.
I know someone who could use the "hairbringer" better :P http://timothywhite.com/sites/default/files/images/portfolio/Bruce-Willis.jpg
Zeke's Hairbringer is for trolling them at the barber shop

What's the use in giving 100% crit chance to someone that should already have 100% crit chance?
You can build pure AD on him then once he gets paired he can get 100% crit
It takes one item, then you build full AD. IE is very good on Yasuo, so you want it on him anyways. Shiv might not directly AD, but it does a bit of magic damage and gives quite a lot of attack speed which lowers the CD on your Q anyways.
Yeah, but then you have to get 100 stacks of Zeke's while Yasuo continues to be slow and lame in lane without Statikk Shiv.

Attack speed and crit are pretty much married stats at this stage, so unless you want to get no AS on Yas it's not really easy to build him without getting crit in there somewhere.

because 20% ap duh
Can champs with abilities that scale from crit chance take advantage of >100% crit?
etc.?

Crit should add multiplicatively, NOT additively.
I've always been surprised that it's not that way in League.
So... Critical strike chance... Should reduce your chance to not critically strike?
...no? Its like how tenacity increases multiplicatively. Building MORE doesn't make it less, it just doesn't hard scale.
Tenacity reduces the duration of CC by whatever percentage you have.
The only way to make critical strike stack multiplicatively (And for that to actually reduce the total amount of crit) is to make all critical strike chance items reduce your chance of not critically striking by 100-(crit chance) in individual instances.
So 20% crit chance reduces your chance to not critically strike by 80%.
Which is backwards and silly.
It is backwards and silly, but means the same thing. There are only two possible outcomes- you crit on attack or you don't. If you have 20% crit chance you have a 20% chance of critting...and a 80% chance of not critting and dealing normal damage (barring the fact the critting works on a modified RNG). Everytime you purchase more crit you are reducing your non-crit % chance.
Stacking 2 20% crit items additively = total crit chance of 40% [20 +20] Stacking 2 20% crit items multiplicatively = total crit chance of 36% [1- (0.8*0.8)]
