Ornn lost his shield on his W which I can honestly understand the reasoning behind, but giving him 10% extra bonus resistances is laughable compensation. Who actually gives a shit that he gets around 5% more value out of a Sunfire Cape? Most tanks have some means of blocking, reducing, or undoing damage, but as it stands Ornn's kit is basically that of a bruiser that cannot itemize damage well.

There were many suggestions to have his shield attached to his E, rather than outright removed. Some of those were in favor of just on activation, others thought it could be a good reward for landing the knockup.

TotalJerk1 votesIn addition to what others have said, another idea is maybe giving him some resistances, shields, or health when he damages CC'd enemies? It would be more earned than "press a button, get shield", but it would also synergize with his brittle mechanic.
Moonscourge1 votesIt's 10% and he's just not supposed to have a super strong laning phase. He doesn't need anything else, his passive was a huge buff that will just statistically always put yourself and your team ahead, no matter what.
TotalJerk1 votesIncreasing bonus resistances by 10% effectively translates to around 5% more gold value out of most items unless you expect Ornn to only by buying Thornmails and Stoneplates. Items have other stats besides resistances.
