Rune changes - a step in the wrong direction (Ghostcrawler)

Seems like an attempt at dumbing down the game. Less choice, and even more cookie-cutter builds. Nothing to see here guys, Ghostcrawler is just repeating the same casualization process that he applied to WoW: Locked people to talent trees, removed hybrid builds and streamlined (dumbed down) literally everything.

What's next - locking champs to specific build paths?

Runes Reforged has a lot of potential. I'm excited for the meta changes its going to bring.

Sometimes complexity can be a bad thing - New players can be alienated by the current system, and the 'stat-boosts' that are offered by the current system have already been mastered by the majority of the player base.

Ghostcrawler hate isn't needed or necessary. He's a human, and he's going to make mistakes like the rest of us - As a guy that's played every game he's had his hand in, I think he's learning and growing.

The same arguement was used in WoW - proceeded to lose nearly 50% of the player base. So no, that arguement doesn't hold. Complexity is good because it provides depth to a game, which is an important long term factor for keeping players. With that said, current runes are easy as heck to grasp. These rune changes just make it even easier.

Yah, by repeating the same mistakes he made in WoW?

At this point I'm done - it's obvious you just don't like the dude and want to cry about what you think he's doing to league. He's not the only one pulling the strings. Balance problems aren't always his fault. You aren't supporting your arguments in any meaningful way.

Why bother making a post about such a cohesive subject when you put no effort/analysis into it at all? World of Warcraft and League of Legends cannot be compared. The death of World of Warcraft is without a doubt related to the death of MMO games in general.

Honestly with the exception of making the flat stats and the gameplay changes tied together I actually like the new runes.

The new runes look way more complex and game-changing than the boring stat buffs we have at the moment.
