My only issue with a lot new/reworked champions is that theres almost nothing they can't do.
Sylas - Very good heal, CC, Burst, Mobility, Manageable cooldowns and resource is also easy to manage.
Irelia - Her having mana almost doesn't even matter, she may as well be resourceless. Very good conditional mobility, very good CC, AOE auto-disabling slow, access to burst whilst still being tanky and having good attack speed for dueling and beating out ADCs.
Akali - True stealth, burst, good healing once you get your hands on
. I will say she is kind of difficult to play and master though. Resource is very, very easy to manage.
Pyke - Extremely good cc, very good healing in lane, re-settable execute. It's very difficult to keep a good Pyke player down or exploit any weaknesses.
Camille (not as new, I know) - passive shield that's invaluable in lane (when she was still mainly played top), itemization allowing for massive true damage burst, incredible gap closer that let's her stun you from half a screen away, and an ult that completely locks a target for her to take out (her ult is probably the most reasonable part of her kit).
I think ALL of these champions would be ok to play against if you just took away 2 of the things they do well. If I told you a couple of seasons ago that these things would be in the game, you guys would throw me in the looney bin.
: AOE knock up ult that lasts longer and isn't reduced by tenacity.
: Knock back ult that knocks up anyone the first target runs into...which lasts longer.
: A suppression that lasts longer.
: An aoe fear that lasts longer.
