This is why I just cant listen to "mains" anymore. If we only listened to mains then this game would NEVER change. Any change what-soever is automatically deemed to be bad. Mains are ALWAYS going to say change is evil just because its change and no other actual reason. As it turns out, "mains" are hands down the absolute WORST source of information due to bias overruling any sort of actual discussion about the change. They will find the tiniest minute detail and use it as "proof" even if the overwhelming majority of the rest says otherwise.

To hell you were. If you just pick the same answer every single time, you're going to right eventually. Let me give you a comparison. You have a 100 question multiple choice test in front of you. If you pick "B" every single time, you're going to be right SOME of the time by default. That doesnt mean you had any clue what the hell the answer was. Just because you answer "OMG GUTTED" every single time and it turns out correct sometimes doesnt mean you had any clue at all.

this rework didn't solve any of sejuani's actual problems and Riot just decided to target unrelated parts of her kit. Sejuani now has CC on all 4 of her abilities on top of having what may be the best CC combo on one rotation in the game, and a fat chunk of burst damage to go with it.

"Sejuani's rework is awful" =/= "Sejuani will be bad." i told you she was gonna be busted

Thats odd because shes not god awful outside of throwing her R anymore. Could have sworn that was something they were trying to fix. Weird how it worked and they achieved their goal

yeah that ~600-700 DPS late game on her W and being able to constantly apply slows to 5 people. hoooooooooooooooooooo WEEEEEEEE her regular spells sure were bad huh

Sej's normal spells were trash. You can arbitrarily pick number from some BS full AP build that nobody actually used or some BS situation where all 5 of the enemy team stood in her AOE and it still doesnt change the fact that she straight up was an Ult bot and the rest of her kit was trash

I'll bet you touched her plenty.

Anyway, if a champ's kit gets changed completely then the mains of said champ have their experience dropped back down to 0. Not saying Sej was changed that much, but it's an observation.

For example, someone who has only played the old Sion really can't give a good impression or opinion on the viability of the new one as their experience is only relevant with the old Sion. They would have to relearn the champion in a sense.

That's complete bullshit. I still understand Sejuani's Q mechanics perfectly, I'm used to how the R projectile works and I have a base line idea of how tanky she is and how much damage she does which lets me predict teamfights better than someone new to the champ. In the case of Sejuani having played her before gives you a much better groundwork for playing her now.

Not saying Sej was changed that much, but it's an observation.

The subject of champion reworks was brought up, I made this observation based on the more extreme reworks. Sejuani isn't one of them. I thought i made that clear. :/

Wouldn't that make this thread redundant then? I have perfectly no idea as to who you are, or why I should care if you can't bother to give attention to my opinion anymore. So to make a thread that garners people to respond through the whimsy of meager defiance or otherwise alone is... hypocritical to the very purpose of what you'd stated in the OP. If nothing else, it just comes off as rude, and entirely unnecessary.

Did you even play sion and poppy pre rework? The issue with the mains complaining about those reworks (i can say this because at one point before poppy was reworked I swore to only play her in every game at the time) is that what they did was destroyed. galio also has this problem because his rework was very simular. You say that poppy and sion were amazing reworks. (and i will admit that the champs they turned into are not bad champions) but what made poppy poppy and what made sion sion was what was destroyed. Any sion main would have been 1000x happier if they had either chosen the burst mage playstyle, or the late game hyper carry adc playstyle and stuck with it. just like poppy players would have been thousands of times happier if they had taken the only legit hyper carry in the game barring old jax cause he was reworked already and turning her (and sion) into generic tanks. the same problem with galio, the only saving grace in the galio rework is that he does still have a finicky ap build which is just not as effective. You cant play poppy the way she used to be played and you cant play sion the way he used to be played. Thats what was destroyed.

We arent even gonna talk about karma because that rework was the epitome of trash. Dont get me wrong. I love riot and I love the game. but claiming that mains dont have a valid point because the rework produced a good champion is just a ignorant, disrespectful thing to say. I am 99.8999% sure that you never played more then 25 games on either of those champions pre rework or you would understand the pain of loading up league and realizing you never get any remote aspect of that champion back. I fucking loved old poppy and posts like these piss me off because you dont have any idea what the hell your talking about.

My personal opinion on reworks is that talon is by and large the best rework of all of them. He still feels like talon when you play him, He still does the same thing. When riot takes and champion and completly turns them into a completely different champion is where people get pissed.

edit the other thing that you are mistaken about is this. How viable and strong the champion is after the rework *DOES NOT MEAN A DAMN THING the champion is not even remotely the same. Just because poppy was broken doesnt mean that the mains were wrong that she got destroyed as poppy. she isnt the same champion. the only thing about her kit thats the same is her e. sion doesnt even have that. Not a damn thing about sion was left the same.

I see your point. The complaining gets old however the voice of the mains can be useful to developers. Like the Hiemerdinger Thread just a few days ago.
Look at what the Morde mains changed by Not backing down. A "Basic ability" was 100% unusable without an ally champ.
Now it's restricted but usable when alone.

Leblanc rework is actually awful? Nobody cares how strong she was, it just made her even stronger and added things like waveclear which LB shouldn't have had in the first place.
