If you'd like I can give you a brief rundown, but (even as a Talon main) I hate that strat and don't wanna talk about it :p

Had to face a Talon with smite too. Care to explain or is it cheesy like gold funneling?

It's pretty cheesy. Talon with W has really good waveclear, so with smite + talisman Talon can easily take his jg's raptors level 1 before he gets to lane. Then he has a gold/XP lead on his laner. Then you lane for a bit, shove the lane, and take the enemy raptors if possible.

You keep doing this, and by later in the game when you have tiamat and are stronger overall, you can continue counter jungling the enemy very easily with smite. (Also good to have 2 smites for securing objectives)
