What do I do as Jhin when my team refuses to group in ranked????

I just lost because of this. I by no means played perfectly, and am not trying to put all the blame on my team. However, all lanes were more or less even-ish at mid game (mostly no more then 2 kills ahead or behind) and my team wouldn't group so we kept getting outnumbered and beaten because of that and because we lacked the cc to stop the enemy team from running right through us. It was one of those games that were thrown because multiple players were on auto pilot while the rest were struggling to make the best of it. Repeatedly saying group mid, or explaining we were losing because we lacked numbers and enough CC didn't help; my team was determined to split push at bad times.

I was catching up to my team who split, and was faced with a decision. Do I stay mid with one other person and contribute to the splitting problem? Or do I head top alone and risk dying in the jungle when the enemy team is mia? Saying lets go top to the person I was with wasn't working.

How do I make the best out of situations like this? I struggle to make the best out of these situations sometimes, which I know is in part due to Jhin's weaknesses, but there's gotta be something I could be doing that I'm not, as I'm somewhere between B3 and S4 (or so ppl have told me). And is there anything in particular I should be doing other then staying far back and using traps, so the enemy team can't easily get to me? (which is more difficult when I'm outnumbered)

It happens, all you can do is play your best and move on. In this situation in particular I just do my best to follow the largest crowd and make plays, this strat can easily backfire for obvious reasons but if you have those idiots who just can't stop overextending or roaming solo in enemy territory the game is lost anyway.

Nothing you can do man. I just had two games in a row where people split up, so I just tried to stay mid as much as possible and rotate bottom/top as needed. People always want to move in this game, and sometimes the best strategy is to just stay put in one place, play passive, and wait for an opportunity. ─ If I have to play one more game with Janna support I'm going to choke myself.

I know the feeling. I'm playing my placement games and I seem to often get supports who don't understand their champ and how to play support, or teammates that throw stupidly. It's really annoying. I may not be great in every single game, but at least I pick a champ I'm good with and don't spend the whole game on autopilot to defeat.
