Auto-fill needs to be removed from ranked. You cannot win Diamond+ games with a Silver-level player.

This should have been done long ago.

Auto-fill is actually almost a guaranteed loss in Diamond+ games; you cannot win when one of your team mates is essentially a walking sack of gold, because they're filled into a role they don't play, and the people with their roles also don't play the auto-filled role, or they didn't say anything.

There is no way to justify forcing us into one sided games after 60 seconds in queue over making us wait an extra minute or two for a game that isn't completely decided in the lobby.

Auto-fill adds literally nothing beneficial to ranked, and even if there were a problem with queue times due to lack of jungle/top players, there are better ways to solve it than just throwing a random player in there.

Every season I discover a little more how terrible players are at this game.

Season 3 "Plat is good, right?" Season 4 "Plat 2+ is good" Season 5 "Plat players are mostly retarded" Season 6 "Diamond 5 players and under are monkeys" Season 7 "Literally anyone that isn't diamond 2 doesn't know shit" Season 8 "A silver balance team would actually improve the game unironically because at least they know Zoe is a mistake."

Also remove autofill in Diamond games and higher, pls.

Autofill was introduced probably specifically for diamond+ games, because otherwise queue times would become unbearable when the population of players to pull from is very small.

If players don't feel like they can effect the outcome of the game enough on that role, if they feel like they can't climb on that role, then that role is effectively "undesirable". That's the problem that high elo gets to, which is why they got auto fill first.

Smallbrain ADC that likes to talk and doesn't realize feeders aren't the problem but the people who literally are worthless all game that queue for ranked because they thought as soon as they can unlock ranked they should play it. Luck is a factor and if you get slammed with hundreds of prelim kids that need to lose 30 more games to get to their MMR yeah you're gonna get stuck. You can't even instruct them as they played ARAM up until that point anyway. Its one of the biggest problems in ranked next to autofill griefing.

No actually a player who took 500games to reach diamond and a player who did it in 40 games are vasty different. Anyone can achieve a rank by spamming games. People whom i am friends with IRL were stuck gold 1 - Plat 5 for years and they Begged me to help em do promos to get unstuck. Same people right now are currently sitting Diamond 5-4 with 51% winrate and tons of game. If you have to grind to achieve the said rank you are either garbage or simply cannot improve further. And i'm not talking starting from 0 and going up to diamond in 500 games i'm talking about people playing 500 games alone in a single division per say plat.

Luck. You probably got good teams. I've watched my fair shared of Unranked to Diamond maratons on YouTube and elsewhere and I notice that these guys always get good teams. I almost never see them get a team mate that goes 0-6 in 7 minutes yet I always get them on my team. This game is a game of chance. For every player that gets feeding garbage every game, there is a player that gets decent players every game.

Yea, I'm not really sure why Riot ever thought someone being able to two shot you... just because it was "delayed damage" that you were cc'd the whole time for was balanceable.

I'm also not sure why we can't have resistances to be able to survive things.

Actually season 2 was considered Diamond V+ is good.

S3/4/5 Diamond V is "trash", Diamond IV+ is good. S6/7/8 Diamond III+ is good.

But being a veteran in any Diamond league means you're hardstuck trash.

Just what I've experienced from other Diamond player's comments anyway.

I just got an auto-filled mid lane while I'm queued for mid lane. It went something like 1-13-3, at which point I stopped paying attention to it's score.

I also just lost my Diamond promos exclusively due to my team having an auto-filled player in each game.

This 'feature' needs to be removed yesterday.

Riot's working on positional ranking. It'll hopefully make autofill less painful.

That said, I think a good idea could be to have a settings option (probably a slider) to indicate how how long a player is willing to wait for their chosen positions.

You could be in diamond games as a top lane main and then you get autofilled into a silver game as a mid laner and just shit all over everyone with better macro and just picking a champ you know mechanically well enough that it doesn't matter.

Not entirely. There will be 'splash' influence on other positions. In otherwords, winning games will bring all your positions up slightly, but have the highest effect on whichever position you played that game. Same with losing, but in the opposite direction. I think they're hoping to bring it live after this season ends.

Riot added it ONLY because Masters+ players could not wait 10-15m to get a match. We all have to suffer because of them. Its classic 99% have to suffer because of 1%

Guys riot will never change stuff like this. I always see a lot of people say how riot listens to their community and how praiseworthy that is. This is false. They only listen to the community when it is either advantageous to them or presents such a small change that at the end of the day it doesn't really matter.

Sample 1 Voice chat: They did implement the longly requested voice chat but they made it so that it is completly useless considering people who use it already used or still use any other form of voice communication

Sample 2 Autofill: No one in their right mind likes autofill. Higher elo players would rather have longer queues than to have an autofilled player or be autofilled themselves. Lower elo players have litterally no need for autofill because the player base is so dense. Why are they not changing it for either of them? Cause apparently it makes queues faster which like i said higher elo players don't want and low elo players don't need.

There are many other instances where they ignore the community for a long period of time just to give the most basic and general answer possible. So guys as sad as this sounds. Give up lol.

I'm not as high as your elo, but i understand your point of view. I always ask if someone i autofilled and what they actually Main. If they main mid lane and i have i usually swap with them. I trained a Lot as adc To fill every filled one, and i can fill a supp too if needed. Better like this than a 0/13 lux support x)

If you are a Gold anything you haven't mastered a single champion, let alone a single lane. A Diamond player who hasn't played for like 5 months could probably log in and hit random and outdo whatever you main on that role if they played a game in your MMR. The thing is, they aren't facing Gold players in their games, so that point is moot. They are placing other DIamond players who are maining their role the vast majority of the time, which is the problem. And since one person can easily lose the game, autofill has a huge impact on who wins.

And that's just if the matchmaking was fair to begin with. I got autofilled one time, while I was Diamond 4 at the time, into a D1/Masters ranked game. Why? Why was I even in that game to begin with, much less autofilled? But according to you, that would mean I'm not the level of Diamond cause I can't beat Masters maining their roles/champs while I get autofilled.

I agree with this, I like how riot understands it at this point, but its not going to be fixed ever, and instead they will just mediate it in season 9 by having separate ranking systems.

I half feel like they keep this system in the game because of an idea known as burnout. This is where doing one thing too much creates a stale environment and makes you bored. By having you autofilled in other places they see it as keeping you somewhat motivated for your role. Its stupid reasoning but I expect this is why it exists.

Before flex Q you couldnt even choose your role before champ select It basically was "If I'm 1st then I will choose whatever role I want, fck others" there were much more "autofilling" back in the days and people had to be able to play all 5 roles. this actually is essential if you really want to climb. Knowing (at least a little) other roles makes you play betterly.

You're missing the point. It's not the fact they don't know other roles, but that they can't play their off role as good as a main. Both players are diamond so of course the auto fill guy would get destroyed since that's not his best lane.
