@RIOT EXPLAIN TO ME LOW LEVEL MATCHMAKING

You are placing a level 22 account with all Golds, Silver and a Bronze player. Explain to me, Riot Games, how this is good matchmaking and a good new player experience. I am not even a new player and I cannot imagine what a new player feels like getting demolished like this. These are players who are far more experienced, full runes, full masteries and 90% of the time playing in a premade.

Is this the type of gaming experience you want your new players to experience? I waited almost 10 minutes to get into a match as a low-level player and I get 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze. What is the point in farming for level 30 and runes when you are going to match us with these players, to begin with? It takes forever to get to level 30 and get full runes rune pages when you are constantly losing matches. I don't are if I lose matches against players below level 30, but I shouldn't be up against players that are ranked if you are not going to give us the same runes and masteries. This is probably the third time. Do away with the level system and find another way to make people learn how to play the game before they que for Ranked. There is no point in playing this game as a low-level player when it takes months to level up and get runes Poorly designed DQ.

clear smurfs going to be playing against her ranked opponents also normals MMR =/= ranked MMR also, longer queue times mean less balanced teams thats how it works the longer you are waiting the more likely the teams will be unbalanced just so you get into a game.

ur literally complaining because ur MMR is higher than 22 ur complaining that you are better than what riot thinks you should be playing

also playing against opponents better than you is how you learn to be a better player constantly facing bad players doesnt make you better

Um no. I am literally level 22 with no runes and masteries. Riot is placing ranked players against, everyone on my team who was below level 30, us. It was a premade as well.

being ranked has nothing to do with normal games they are completely separate just because ur gold in ranked doesnt mean you face gold in normals they have seperate MMRs if played normals i would play with mostly golds and maybe high silver even though im a plat player because that is where my MMR is in normals. so those players have very low MMRs whether they barely play normals so it is still low from when because they mostly play ranked and didnt have time to raise their normal MMRs or maybe the premade with lower people often and just brings theirs down. Also when your above level 20 kid gloves come off you need to get used to how level 30 games feel so riot will put them in your games.

Another person who is basically telling other people to shut up and deal with it. News flash, Riot is the problem. Why don't they remove the levelling process entirely then?

how does removing the leveling process help anything?

what your are implying is that i wanna start the game playing against players who are already ranked even though its my first time playing you have no understanding on how this game works you complain about problems but you have no idea how to fix it in a way that doesn't create more problems. Level 1-30 is a necessary evil because there isn't a reasonable alternative

no one is denying it is a problem but there isnt a reasonable way to fix it so the only thing you can do is suck it up until there is

As a player who recently got level 30 for the first time, I think he has a point. Why is there a leveling system at all? Pretty much the whole game is all about what happens after level 30. Being below level 30 is not simply a cosmetic or skill thing, those players are at a substantial intrinsic disadvantage against level 30 players because they do not have a full level 30 rune and mastery set. Furthermore, not having a full rune and mastery set is misleading; it's not really good training for what happens when you do have full runes and masteries, since you become accustomed to your champions being substantially weaker than what they really will be at the end of the day (which is also misleading about how strong your opponents' champions are going to be).

its to prevent players that really dont know what they are doing from playing ranked the level system is there to say hey you at least needed to play a bunch of games before you could play ranked so you should have learned something essentially what it is there for

Normal MMR is completely independent from ranked play. I'm barely a silver player and haven't played a normal game all year until a few days ago. Because of that I was playing against newer players and it was an easy game. I kind of agree they could set maybe a baseline MMR for Normals based on Ranked MMR, however the current system works exactly as it was intended, it's not broken. Making it so that under level 30s have to play only with under level 30s because of runes wouldn't work, you'd have the same issue because you'd be forcing smurf accounts to play against lower tier accounts, whereas currently they'll move up and away from you.

No it's not. They can remove the leveling process and set boundaries before new players can play ranked games. New players already have to grind to get to 30 and to get runes. What is the point in making players grind for something if Riot is going to force players to go against others with more runes, masteries, and a high rank. It's not fair or right.

Personally I don't like the runes or mastery systems for a lot of reasons, I agree with you. But the truth is, as a new player you're going to get absolutely destroyed from time to time, maybe a lot more times than not, that's how it works. We've all been there. It's the same reality in Dota 2 where they have basically what you're asking for (there are no runes and you start with all heroes at lvl 1).

I think part of the issue is that there are not as many players playing pre-30, so it's hard to get a match with only pre-30. That said, actual new players have lower MMR and play against weaker opponents, including more pre-30's (probably).

Also, what does this have to do with DQ?
