I am fed up with this "always push lane no matter what and then roam bot to get your adc fed meta". What happened to actually trading with your opponent and proper wave management? What happened to getting 240 cs at 20 minutes? If my botlane has died 4 times before I turn level 6, my roams won't do anything because enemy botlane can 2v3 at this point, and even if my roam is successful, the enemy bot will just kill our bot again. Farming is consistent income that allows me to get levels and items to eventually carry the late game.

You generally should keep mid push if, for no other reason, to keep the enemy laner from roaming and contributing to killing your ADC early on. Still, roaming is good anyway. Even Nasus has to do more then just staying in lane and farm.

I still carry games as Vladimir and Viktor heavy power farm style. Your team will maybe lose/surrender 33% of the time before you get your items but if you get your items and know how to play the champs, its usually a win even if your a bit behind as a team.

If he roams and doesn't get any results... then you easily get 1-2 EXP on him when he comes back. Its not risk free to roam.

adc happens to be so important in this meta because of how fast games are, and nobody can push turrets at 20 minutes as well as an adc can, it's just the nature of a ranged glass cannon class

As a support main, I prefer my midlaner does NOT roam. However, if their opponent does roam I expect pings and pushing the lane at least. You don't need to follow, just punish them for leaving the lane by getting some tower damage in. If I am losing my lane, the best thing you can do for me is to not come down and help (because your opponent will too) but get your tower and carry the team. I'll camp tower and try not to feed your laner too much.
