Veigar

Veigar is currently at a 45% win rate which is right on the border of where i believe he should be. No champion should have a win rate higher than 55% or below 45%. With the new buffs out on the PBE i believe that they will raise his win rate. I have been playing him recently and he is fairly OK. What i do is I build 2 item 3027 on him then item 3089 then another item 3027 and finish it off with boots and a final AP item. Seems to work pretty well.

He feels lacking as a whole. I'm worried that Riot will focus too much on making his Q satisfying instead of making his entire kit feel more cohesive and fun to play.

Even on the PBE where his Q has so much range on it, I can't help but feel like it takes too much effort to set up for a good W and I'm too reliant on my opponents not paying attention to land a cage.

Yeah. They went and nerfed his E without any compensation to his w. I don't think his w would need more damage of AP scaling but just a shorter delay on it. Maybe like 0.8 seconds instead of the 1.2 seconds

no offense but you're bronze 4.

i could literally build 3 zhonyas on riven and win at that rank.

veigar is currently at 42.8% win rate, much below what you just said it was, you must be looking at monthly, not patch or weekly/daily.

well in bronze i cant at the very least tell you that if you did that you would lose in a heartbeat simply because it is not 5v5 but 1v9 so i would use the word "literal" when you do mean it in a literal way. But on to the point, ive tried him out and i feel like he doesn't really bring anything to the table that any other mage could but better. Hell annie and brand can dish out more damage then him simply because their abilities can land

Veigar can land his stun much easier now since it's a .5 second delay from a 1 second delay (0.75 second delay + 0.25 second cast time). Now he has no cast time and it's just a 0.5 second delay for it. His q is easy to hit as well and does quite a lot of damage. His ult is fine. The only problem i currently have is that his E got nerfed without giving any compensation to his W. They should lower the delay on his W a bit.

yea landing the stun isn't the problem anymore(especially in bronze), it's doing something about it. i could land E all day but QW still very hard to land with the stun. I never thought i would say this but W is literally easier to land then q because of minions.

um, its actually still a .75 second delay, with .75 seconds of warning particles, the cast time still is .25 seconds but the warning starts when the cast animation does so the reduced delay of .5 seconds with the .25 second cast time makes it still take .75 seconds to land, and the warning particles start at the beginning of that period. The real reason Veigar's win rate has gone up is because his pick rate dropped even more. He started with almost a 5% pick rate before patch 5.4 but after 5.4 it dropped to just under 2%, then with 5.5 it dropped to just over 1% because only the people truly dedicated to him are still playing him. If only people who are mains of a champion play that champion, their win rate naturally goes up.
If you don't believe me about the cast time, read the in game tool tip, I know riot worded the patch notes in a way that confused a lot of people.

Ok my rank is just a title given to me off of a broken system. I go off of my MMR which is 1,117. That MMR is that of what is considered a Silver 5 or 4 player. But aside from that, I got the 45% win rate from here http://loldb.gameguyz.com/statistics/winRate/0/0/2/0/0/1 and veigar's current win rate for the month is at 44.34%.

Jeah, maybe? but you wont ever come out of bronze 4 with that build ;D

You would lack som uch with that build, no speed, no utiltiy, no damage (RoA wont help nearly as much as void), faaaar to costly, and it would only pay of, after lets say minute 60.

Also it doenst matter if he has health or mana, he doenst need mana (to that extent, he need a bit mana regen) and health is obsolete for a champion without constant damage and no escape.

His passive is really only useful when he has mana. I haven't played him since the recent buff to it but i can tell from the text of it that it isn't that much of a difference. Once you have about 1000 mana, from the roa, he doesn't really need to buy mana regen. Also the roa will allow him to take a bit more damage if he misses his stun. That way he might still be alive once his stun come back up or he'll be under tower. His movespeed is fine because of his stun. Even if you don't stun them, then they have to wait for the wall to disappear. Also i don't know what you mean by veigar not having constant damage but I'm pretty sure his q is on a low enough cd for him to have constant damage.

good point with constant damage, but dont forget thats it became a skillshot, so its not very reliably (for fast champion, or champion with jumps or if creeps are there (you cant shoot through 2 minion)

To his passive.

Once you have about 1000 mana, from the roa, he doesn't really need to buy mana regen

Thats... not how the passive works... you must buy item 3174 oritem 3165 , because his passive works on Mp5s not on max mana (prozentual not max)

And more health wont help you as Veigar, if the enemy hits you you are defenseless if you have 3000 HP lategame, it qould still only take a few seconds to kill you, he isnt a tank (and cant be played as one). After his stun is out he is defensless, sincehe has no blink, dash or anything else AND the stun can be dodged, blinked over it (by MORE than 18 champion) or just flashed over it. if you can touch Veigar and his stun is out... then he is as good as dead.

I will give it to you that you said you never played him after his "rework" but you should play him, to be able to contribute to him, or his playstyle.
