not gonna include anyone who's already on the rework slab

Nunu terrible gameplay

Heimerdinger terrible gameplay

Sona incredibly uninteresting, gets nerfed whenever she's prominent, there are ways to fill her theme in much more satisfying manners imo

Aatrox probably the least interesting kit of a recent champion, almost as snooze-inducing as skarner. more or less doesn't work to his full potential

Tryndamere riot won't allow him to be a strong champion, i'd like to see more melee carries made fashionable picks though. rework seems necessary at this point

Warwick honorable mention for being a painfully dated one-note champion

Urgod is good, he is perfectly viable as a top laner and quite fun.

Aatrox: Minor rework. Just needs some retuning to his abilities. He's got a theme, he just needs to solidify it.

Zyra : definitely needs a retuning on her abilities. She needs to be a plantomancer, not a lukewarm heimerdinger. with cc

Irelia: Everything about her kit is toxic and unfun to play against. there's no rhyme or reason to her theme and it feels like a lot of her strength was simply tacked on. Major Rework.

Urgot Swain : Kind of both suffer from the same problem. Their gameplay has counter play which is a good thing, but the mini math passives in their kit can make them so they can't be too strong without dominating, so unfortunately they've been kept in check through some overbearing weaknesses. Major reworks.

Tryndamere Nasus : They're the same problem. Riot keeps them on a short leash because as they stand they are ridiculous late game split pushers. They are not only un fun to play as, but against as well, as their weaknesses both involve babysitting them in lane.

Irelia: Because her kit is annoying (the stun especially) but worst of all, it's boring. I know this varies from player to player, but it feels awkward to me (her ult is a ranged ability while she is built around getting to the enemy).
Tryndamere: It really feels like he should get one. But he'll be a monster in the preseason. Yorick: Because it's needed.
Urgot: Kinda needs it. Akali: Needs an update.

Poppy and Taric are already on the update schedule. And as much as I think my main Pantheon could be reworked, he doesn't have as many problems as the people above him. Really the closest is to Yorick due to how much they both fall off late game.

Asked for my top five. Didn't think about fiddles and don't know him well enough to say if he needs one or not.

Warwick could also use one.

Sion Because his last one failed, the point was to make him be played more and have a better identity as juggernaught/tank

Now he is played even less than before and people call you a troll for picking him

Nah, the rework was fine. But then he got nerfed, his items got nerfed, and he got nerfed again. [zombie-nunu-bummed]

That's completely inaccurate. He's far better than he was, you aren't remotely considered a troll for picking him, and his identity is more of a tank/juggernaut than it used to be.

He used to be only played as a troll AP mid with no counterplay.

Left Hook Larry2 votes

Just because he's not broken like Fiora, GP doesn't mean he was a failed rework.

God forbid people have to actually take time to learn and get good with champs these days

That's original but none of them need it lol

Vlad's infinite manaless sustain could very well use some tweaking.

Sejuani Needs to be reworked to be much more different from Amumu.

Mordekaiser Should probably be reworked.

Yorick Sadly has lots of potential, but needs to be reworked.

Veigar Needs some nerfing or at least more difficult skillshots, in my humble opinion.

MonkeyKing Seems broken.

Sukishoo3 votes

Sejuani and Amumu are NOTHING alike lololol

Docga1 votes

How so? I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just curious as to why they're genuinely different. Unsure why I got so many downvotes though! Feel free to disagree with me, just my opinion.

They seem to have nearly the exact same abilities in almost every way, they have the same roles; they differ slightly in their passives and ult ranges, but besides that they seem to be the same. Again, feel free to disagree.

poppy taric and yorick are already on the list then next probably will be evelyn that leaves urgot tryndamere and warwick

Aatrox: Arguably Riot's biggest failure. Had no role or concept even BEFORE release. Mordekaiser rework comes in 2nd biggest failure imo.

Warwick: Rework planned sometime in .............. Uhhh 3578

Irelia: IRELIA!!!

Nasus: Is a juggernaut but not a juggernaut... Wait what?

Sejuani: really really REALLY toxic kit, has to be forcefully gimped. Has a kit designed to be an assassin, has tanks stats, and group disruption. She either over shadows not only Amumu but Hecarim as well. Or gets over shadowed by them.

Ralanr1 votes

Wait how is Sejuani Toxic?

Rengar Top Lane1 votes

Rengar : "Rengar's Savagery spell now has +100% AD at rank 5!"

Yaskamasandwich1 votes

Sejuani is considered toxic because she's a tank and assassin that mixes together too good which is considered bad. Before was not much trouble she had a weak early game, counter jungle her shut her down. Then adcs complained that she was too strong late game so she was considered toxic and gimped. She was even the primary example used to nerf tanks to mid game in patch 5.16. "It is unfair for a Sejuani to jump on the Marksman and destroy them with no chance to react." something along those lines.

I believe Sejuani and Amumu and Hecarim are all different too. 90% to 99% of the community believes differently. Which is why they always over shadow each other regardless of all being different.

Ralanr1 votes

...Sejuani assassin? What?

So she's toxic for jumping on marksmen (who rarely build defense) and killing them? Amumu's whole schtick is that once he has enough AP! He does it by crying!

She can go through walls (like Gragas and others) has a great CC ultimate, and good CC abilities that are applied by her flail. How is that toxic? She's a peeler isn't she?

crazydanddgnat1 votes

Poppy because she's been kept in a permanently weak state for three years intentionally because of how terrible her kit is, for everyone including herself. She's the perfect example of a champion who has an uninteractive overloaded kit that also happens to be horribly broken if she gets ahead, while still sucking monstrously the rest of the time. I don't think anyone else has been acknowledged as the single worst champion in the game for most of its history.

I'll just leave this here. The DPS mages: Azir Cassiopeia Ryze. The damage output from these champs will always be too strong if they are not in a weak state. They also all have relatively high skill caps that keep their winrates extremely low even though they are all probably still overpowered when in skilled hands. I think this is a pretty big problem balance wise and they should be fixed. Riot has given hints that they are working towards giving them some tweaks to make them more balanced, but I think this is going to take a while.

More obviously you can look at Poppy, Taric, Urgot, Yorick and a lot of other older champions that need some work to bring them into the modern age. A lot of these champs are currently being worked on or have plans to be worked on but I feel like the DPS mages need some help for the balance of the game.

oh and Aatrox needs some work. Especially after grievous wounds for any ad gets thrown in.

Mordekaiser identity is gone since the rework, the whole point was to feed off the opponent's pain. Urgot he literally has no sense of an identity, his ult makes little sense to the rest of the kit Yorick fun to play as, possibly the most annoying champ to play against, just too safe and kinda too strong. Shaco not a full rework, but would be nice if the boxes don't die in one hit late game, and the clone actually chases people or attacks more smoothly Talon feels a bit unsatisfying to play as, i literally use the same combination, and there's not much skill to it, it's either i kill them because they're low enough or not.
