Why is it that an entire team comp have to be drafted to deal with exclusively this garbage fire of a champion? I mean really. If you don’t have 80 pieces of hard cc you lose to him every time. Can’t slow his as cause Lul ult, and you can’t build tank stats if any kind because oh, %hp true damage out his ass.

Thats fair. Thankfully most bronze players ban Yi and Yasou and all those other flashy Pentakill champs usually

Tbh the only reason I ban yasuo is because he has Shaco syndrome bad af. Enemy yasuo = Korean bred with a extra thumb My yasuo = a corndog who managed to achieve sentience.

Just a Lulu to polymorph him is really easy, some easy stun like Riven, people that go temporarily invisible or untargetable are really hard for him to deal with. Yes he can snowball extremely hard, but usually he's just extremely useless because he's a one-dimensional champ that has no utility; you should be more scared of someone like Jax that can leap over walls without an enemy target (ward hop) and stun too.
P.S. I do believe Yi needs a rework to give him some semblance of utility and less snowball power.

Most of them are good against Yi but uh some slight overexagerations
Yi destroys and melts Nautilus and barely cares about thornmail. Yi can dodge Xerath stun so it's a skill matchup. Zhonya's fucks him up though Yi destroys Vi in a skirmish if he plays it properly. Yi annihilates Garen in a 1v1 once he has 2 items Yi vs Illaoi is actually a feasible duel for Yi, if he dodges E or dodges when the tentacles smack down he should actually beat her. Yi vs Nasus depends on how well Nasus stacked, but Nasus is beatable. Extremely snowbally matchup btw, if Nasus is down Yi will roflstomp him Yi vs Sona is actually one of the easiest supports to face. There's so much more CC in other supports, and Yi will melt her and her adc easily.

Its such common knowledge that people dont even care to debate him, bc its so damn common to see a Yi end a game by getting to that "bs level". Everyone just ends up like "meh its just yi.. we all know he's bs" nobody who dies to him or plays him thinks much of him getting quadra and pentas bc we all know he's broken.
So yea he needs one of those good o' "fixes". but he's been broken since way before i started playing LoL 2 years ago. Doubt they're gonna do shit now. The unskilled and lil kids need that go to "smash one button champ" or else they lose players. Thats really all Yi is.

Syrile1 votesThe biggest problem with Yi is teammates. Either the team knows how to deal with him or they do not. The problem with CC is that he can pick up QSS and then just slaughter whomever had the audacity to CC him. Assuming you have the usual mix of randoms that wants to feed him as often as possible. On the other hand, Yi going 0/9/0 in 10 minutes is kind of hilarious when even his true damage just kind of tickles... Soo.... yeah?
SEKAI1 votesTechnically, you only need 1 guy to stop Yi, generally the jungler should already suffice.
Rammus, Xin, Udyr, Wukong, and Jax would forever remain as predators chasing to consume Yi. FIddlesticks would also counter Yi's very being if not for the fact Fiddlesticks is not currently in a good spot atm.
The trick is that CCs that have extremely short travel animation or outright no travel animation at all, ensure the Yi would be guaranteed to be hit and subsequently die because of how glassy he is. All of the junglers that hard-counter Yi have this property, and better yet, many of whom are also stat-checks themselves. This is also why Yi is less preferred the higher elo you go, as he's easily countered by enemy junglers who not only counter him but also do the same job as he does.
Outside of junglers, there are also other champs that mortally counter Yi, with the same logic of hard CC with short or no traveling animation. Lissandra, Lulu, Ryze, Annie, Cassiopeia, Singed, Orianna, Pantheon, etc etc all have this.
Similarly, things that are flat out impossible to avoid like Vi's R is also a sure-fire way to destroying Yi by itself alone.

The issue is that in low elo people often don't have the coordination to properly follow up on another's plays, and thus most teams have no focus and leads aren't followed, resulting in someone like Yi performing far better than his actual balance spot is.
