Would you prefer fighting Zed if his kit became magic damage and AP oriented?

He would (probably) become an AP assassin, similar to Katarina.

In other words:

All ability damage base values are now magic damage, and tuned to balance him with the same powercurve he has now.
All ability AD ratios are now AP ratios, and tuned to balance him with the same powercurve he has now.
W passive bonus AD % increase is now a %AP boost, and adjusted to balance him with the same powercurve he has now.
Everything else about him remains the same as it is on live.

The main differences are that he now has a completely different itemization suite available to him, his autoattacks no longer scale off his damage stat, and you would build MR to counter his damage (rather than armor).

Would you prefer to play against this version of Zed?

He wouldn't really be zed anymore. He would have terrible dueling potential and would be kind of useless. Not enough burst without any autos.

Honestly this would ruin Zed and make him less fun to play AS, which is honestly a lot more important than whether or not he is fun to play against. Nobody is going to be fun to play against when they can kill you.

Because his ultimate would no longer get the damage from auto attacks that it desperately needs to secure the kill on a target his other abilities would need a large damage increase to compensate for the lack of damage that would otherwise have been done by his auto attacks. I don't know about you but I don't want to lose half my health to a Q late game.

There are more items that give armor, and they tend to be cheaper than items that give mr making it easier to build some defense against his burst earlier.
