Oh. My. God. I cannot believe how moronic this is. This is LITERALLY the stupidest thing Riot has EVER done. Riot have intentionally and maliciously set out to DESTROY a champion who was already underpowered while calling it an attempt to make him viable. This is worse than Veigar. Worse than Zilean. This is the ultimate sign that Riot have come completely unglued.

What's Garen's problem? He gets kited all game. What's Riot's solution? Make him even easier to kite of course! He can't silence people for more than HALF the duration of Judgement any more and when he's Judgementing people he slows himself! Oh and just to add insult to- no, to add more injury to injury, W doesn't give him Tenacity any more, because only Irelia gets to have Tenacity. People are going to have to TRY to get damaged by Garen now- not helped by the fact that they're gutting the everloving SHIT out of Judgement's damage anyway! Base damage MASSIVELY reduced (2 damage per tick higher at rank 1 but more than HALVED at rank 5!) Yeah, he gets more ticks as he levels (HIMSELF, not Judgement) but that means he power spikes at level 16 rather than level 9 when the damage of Judgement ALMOST catches up to what it is at the moment (assuming you land all 10 ticks, which as I already pointed out, you won't because Riot WANT Garen to be kited and useless forever). Yeah, extra ticks with the AD ratio NOT actually nerfed (surprisingly) means that he will actually do more damage when build with AD, but again, who cares? You've made him so much easier to kite that he needs to build straight tank MORE THAN EVER. The changes to Demacian Justice and the AA range increase do NOTHING to compensate for how retarded these changes are. Oh, and for some utterly inane reason they're reverting W back to what it was before they made it good, by forcing Garen to charge it up to a weakass cap. This is literally what it was back when Garen was COMPLETELY shit and Riot think it's a good idea to bring this back! Riot NEVER bring back old, discarded kit designs, but for this evisceration of Garen they've apparently decided to make an exception! What next, you going to roll Eve back to her old "intentionally underpowered while awaiting rework" kit? Oh and just for one final kick in the balls, they're nerfing his passive, presumably because it'd be funny.

I don't even care about the rest of the changes to the other champions because this is bad enough that nothing else matters. I've given Riot a lot of flak over the years for some of their changes, but I've ultimately always just accepted them (because I pretty much have to, since they never listen to anybody) and they usually come good in the end (Zilean is still garbage) but this is the last straw. Riot, if you go ahead with these changes we're done with you. This is moronic. This is literally mentally retarded. This is the WORST thing you have ever proposed to do to a champion. If you release these changes as they are, you are INCOMPETENT and don't deserve to manage your own game any more.

God help me when I scroll far enough down the PBE patch notes to see what you're doing to Mordekaiser...

Morde is dicey. Sure, he basically doesn't have a W any more, but the abusiveness of his ability to create Dragon ghosts combined with the similarly untouched abusiveness of his ever-OP Children of the Grave means he may be viable just for the sheer bullshit value. Because he sure as shit isn't going to be any good for anything else.

Skarner, on the other hand, is just being removed from the game. Riot have utterly lost their fucking marbles with his rework- it's SO APPALLINGLY BAD it makes Garen's look... well, pretty fucking bad, but Skarner's is about as bad. Riot have said "we want Skarner to be completely useless at all points in the game unless he's humping a map objective- oh, but if the enemy gets their first he's just completely useless. We don't want him to be able to gank, we don't want him to be able to fight, we don't want him to do anything except get Dragons and Barons- and if the enemy reaches it first, we don't want him to be able to do those either."

The morde e base damage literally got cut in half, and having a dragon is useless if you can't actually kill the dragon in the first place, this literally gutted him worse than the garen nerfs.

Children of the Grave lost Damage, Range and they cutted his Ghost's damage in half.

Trust me, i have played 10 games on the PBE that had a Mordekaiser and he lost all of them, regardless of what he built. They literally took his kit and gutted everything so he could have a pet dragon.

He gets his passive on whoever has the most kills. It doesn't have to be recent, an enemy could be the villain even if they killed someone five minutes ago.

I play a lot of Garen and these are huge nerfs to him with 0 compensation. Literally everything besides his R is getting nerfed and he was already barely viable. Q - reduced silence. W - So I am Nasus/Thresh now except it is capped at a ridiculously low level. And no tenacity. E - AD Ratio up, but base nerfed, no crit chance added and also slows you if you actually think about using it. The villian gimmick is interesting to a certain point but with the other nerfs there is no chance of actually reaching a high value target. The passive nerf is OK since it isn't horrible and it was probably needed, but the whole rework is just awful.

This is really horrible and removes any incentive to actually play Garen since you will be 0/5 before mid game so his late game "buff" to his E will never be a factor especially since you now need to build a lot more tank just to survive so the AD ratio is wasted. Sigh.

Villain system sounded pretty cool and I was hyped for it; but all of the other changes pretty much killed the mood. He went from lane bully, to someone who can't even trade early game unless you die to the other laner.

The late game buff and "Villain" system he got wasn't worth everything he lost.

maokai is hardly unkillable. and garen is just like katarina or fizz, extremely annoying champions which I can deal with but for the love of god I can't be bothered to deal with in my games, because nothing screams fun like having a certain hp threshold you cross and then a katarina getting resets and casually picking up a triple. or playing a carry and knowing a fizz can pretty much just bypass your frontline with his E and two-shot you. not bannable, not imbalanced (imagine that, assassins that can actually assassinate, crazy!), just outright infuriating.

the issue with garen too is that if you apply key CC on to him then that leaves the rest of his team open to engage since they can't be locked down, and if you leave him alone he'll eat your carry's face off.

Well, there is only one buff to his R (and some number tweaks), but again doesn't make up for the fact that they have made it much harder to actually use that buff by making him less cc resistant and self peeling with his E.

While it's true nothing on PBE makes it live, unless there's massive backlash backed with tons and tons of pleading/complaints/etc, Riot don't give 2 damns. Which is how it's supposed to be, still it's disheartening when Riot says, "LET'S DISCUSS" and 90% of the time, leaves the threads open only for the forum goers to tear at each other's throats. I expect this normailty from Riot, but I wish for them going above and beyond for the community, which I haven't seen often.
