Why does Red side win more LP and lose less?

Any logical conclusion behind this? Its honestly just stupid how being on one side of the map dictates how fast you climb.

Another list of issues I have with the rank system.

  • Why the hell is riot so fixated on keeping everyone at a 50% winrate? In order to keep you there they but you with monsters who are far above your skill.
  • Why is MMR invisible? Why cant we track it?
  • Why is it so hard to be promoted and so easy to be demoted.
  • Why is the game so prone to losing streaks and winning streaks?

I could go on, but these are my major questions.

" - Why the hell is riot so fixated on keeping everyone at a 50% winrate? In order to keep you there they but you with monsters who are far above your skill." when you reach 50% winrate, that's the elo you're suppose to be in.

"- Why is it so hard to be promoted and so easy to be demoted." Really? why is it so hard to win and so easy to lose?

"- Why are people so prone to losing streaks and winning streaks?" fixed

Tbh MMR should determine your rank, not lp.

And sometimes, it's harder to get demoted. I've lost two games in a row at 0lp, didn't get demoted, one 1 and now I have a 25lp buffer. Back when I was in silver 4, one win gave me even more lp. I think my first win after placements gave me around 36.

It's because overall blue side has a better win rate. I don't remember where I read this, but you can find it on internet pretty easily. So, in order to "compensate", the team with a slightly better MMR is placed red side, and win more after a win, and loose less after a loss.

oh, i see. Well, I win most of my red side games, maybe they should tweak that lol.

I don't know. Riot sometimes fail a bit their champion balance, but overall they are doing a pretty good job. So I guess they left things as this because even when putting the team with a slightly better MMR on red side, the win rate stayed unbalanced.

Well anyways, be happy :D Being red side is always cool : more LPs won, less LPs lost :D

In LOL, blue side generally wins more. In other games, red wins more.

Visual perspectives for skill shots are somewhat a contributing factor. I miss significantly more blitz hooks when on blue side then red.

You're getting cause/effect confused.

It's based on MMR (you don't always get matched by rank, you get matched by MMR).

IIRC, people on red side have a slightly higher MMR (because they have a higher chance of winning?). If you win a game against people with more MMR, you get more LP and lose less if you lose. And it's reversed if you have more MMR than them.

That doesnt make sense, why should the person with HIgher MMR (Red) get more LP? By winning vs lower MMR (lower skilled) people?

The fuck are you saying please.

Are you sure that's the case?

Hm. If I were you, I would keep an Excel sheet and record some data. Red side, IIRC, should be losing more and winning less due to higher MMR?

And keep track of win/lose streaks.

It is. I did one, and my friends did, and everyone noticed it. It's a reality.

People on the red side have a slightly better MMR because the game in unbalanced : blue side has a better winrate overall.

I suppose I recalled incorrectly then, you sound like you know better
