Viktor seems kind of too strong

I played vs a Viktor top today and boy was that fun. For some reason he was allowed to build basically bruiser AP with and spam Q that gave him not only a shield but a speed boost. He had enough damage to destroy most of us in a couple of rotations and enough tanky stats to survive anything we tried to throw at him. Am I the only person who thinks he needs nerfs or is everyone else experiencing this? He's also at a 53% winrate on OP.GG for top lane, albeit winrate doesn't mean everything. If anyone knows a way to counter this please do tell.

I used to play Viktor top a few seasons ago until, I took one of the worst beatings of my League career versus a Jax . Not sure if it would all work the same way after several seasons' worth of rebalancing, but Viktor used to be generally pretty weak against getting jumped on hard and early. Wait until he blows a few important cooldowns and then engage.

Jax Yasuo Camille all have tools to do that.

Garen also seems quite strong, between the silence and the healing passive. Charge and silence him, then spin, and use Courage to block return damage. DrMundo might also work since his native MR/heals will burn out Viktor 's mana pretty quickly.

The most important take home for all of it is that Viktor really isn't unbeatable unless you feed him.

Don't feed him.

Getting really tired of all these people saying int sion or top viktor is op, its ur fault that u cant counter them. Oh, some random player creates that meta, no one cares but when a "pro" player does it everyone loses their minds, its fucking stupid.

If you somehow manage to make him recall before he gets enough gold (1000ish), it will hurt his performance A LOT. After he recalls, he can either use teleport or walk to lane (he has one of the worst movement speed IMO)

If he uses teleport, try making him recall again which will hurt his performance even more severely.

If you can't make him recall, at least try to lower his CS performance. Make him get less gold.

Try ganking him also. You don't have to kill him.

Play around bush and surprise him. Might work.
