Shen Kit Suggestion

While I am enjoying the new Shen Rework, and eagerly awaiting Taric's coming soon, I am kinda bummed that Shen was given a sort of minigame. The spirit blade mechanic is fun and provides an interesting addition to a tank....but there's little control over the spirit blade itself. This makes playing Shen a hassle since there is a lot less reliability in your defensive and offensive capabilities. Dragging the spirit blade around with Q only gives you so much control, and requires you to gank or attack from awkward angles to get the slow off on enemies. Using the Shadow Dash helps get the positioning on the enemy, but since you are taunting the enemy anyway the slow barely has an effect and not activating your Q means you are just smacking them with the wet noodle tank-stats.

My suggestion would be to allow his W to toss out his spirit blade a short distance and then activate the dodge effect. That would allow him to actively position his blade offensively and defensively without the need to waste his shadow dash to slow an enemy or to defend an ally by having to waste Shadow Dash and Q to reposition near an ally to block the damage of basic attacks.

So what does everyone else think? Is his current kit/Spirit Blade Minigame fine, or is it too difficult to reposition? Any other possible suggestions to make his kit/minigame more accessible and forgiving to use?
