GP has been OP ever since the rework. Even after all the nerfs since then, he is currently the #1 rated top and #1 rated mid. He is just way too strong right now.

I don't disagree. This is simply the first time I've seen the boards really complain about it. That's what surprises me. My opinion? GP's been broken since his rework. Not OP. Broken.

I think it really is a case of overpowered. I actually liked the rework, it's just that the barrels do WAY too much damage with the armor pen they have.

That's not my issue. My issue is that a champion so heavily rewarded for farming has god tier waveclear and an extremely impactful global ult. Other hard farming champs like Nasus have to give up pressure on the map to farm the way they want to. Not Gangplank. Other hard farming champs like Jax pay for that lategame strength with mediocre waveclear. Not Gangplank. Gangplank is basically a ranged Nasus/TF hybrid that 1 shots entire waves. His kit is the problem, not the numbers.

Gp's always been strong, that global ult is just so versatile and now his late-game damage not only does as much as before but can be set up like a trap and zone objectives, I ban him most games.

I can see the reason behind them tho. went 4/1 in lane agaist a darius who was utterly destroying me just for tapping R bot lane every time it was up.

The omgyasuosoopplsnerfnoskill threads have been around for a while but they suddenly started getting upvoted once people noticed he was strong, it's basically the same thing.

I'm agreeing, i really think that the boards and just a big swirling pool of different ideas and if a good one can crystallize then everyone is affected by it.

GP has damage and 40% armor pen from barrels. Ult actually deals damage. Free ignite as passive. Heal that doesn't makes sense. Ofc its a matter of time when they complain about him. His damage never falls off.

Does he need nerfs? Idk but eventually, he will get hammered.

he's awful early game, and as long as you don't let him kill you and tell your other lanes to never stay in lane with low health you should be fine even late game he can cc'ed very quickly regardless of his orange
