So I have been trying to go to Top lane recently...got paired with a Garen while playing Ryze...
And my only question is.....how the fuck do you stop this guy?
Pre 6 I was able to kinda poke him down so that he had to back out a bit, but his fucking passive lets him sit there for 8-10 seconds and he is right back in the action. I was slowly starting to out farm him, but he level 6 hit and he magaed to get a good kill on me.
Come back to lane and he has a merc treads. My damage output on him went to shit and stayed shit for that entire game. Come late game he had

...I had around 600+ ap, with over 35% magic pen. My was fully charged, and even with the shield from my passive, move speed from my passive, my snare, shield from 
I STILL couldn't kill this guy OR get away.
We still ended up winning but I just dont get how I can one shot their adc, midlaner, and sometimes the support, and am perfectly capable of dueling their jarvan jungler, yet my damage does NOTHING against Garen.
Not only couldn't I do hardly any damage to him, but neither could the rest of my team. The dude had merc tread, SV, Black Cleaver, Warmogs, Sunfire cape, and who knows what else. Only dies to entire teams gaining up on him, yet STILL does signifiacnt damage and ulted me for 1900 dmg...just....wat?
... a lot of champs counter Garen! Ryze has problems being squishy ranged, Garen supposedly counters such champs in top lane.
