Thoughts on Senna?

Title.

Seems to me that her being "OP" was just overhype. She seems good, but definitely not overtuned. What do you guys think?

My hot take on Senna is that she's firmly a support outside of very specific situations.

You can possibly take her as an ADC and be fine, but if the enemy team has tanks that require melting, she won't get the job done and melting an enemy team's sustain is primarily why you want ADCs to do. She does damage, but it's more like small bursts of damage rather than a consistent stream like from most ADCs and that's partly because her AA animation is so slow.

If even Nautilus is picked into a Senna ADC, that team is done. As support it's a different story. She may be a little overpowered as a support, but nothing close to what Yuumi and Pyke were. She also just works so well with Aery because of her utility, so playing her outside of support without a specific reason seems like a way to hold yourself back.

Her E was massively overhyped too and in general I think the boards overreacted. I hope those unreasonable expectations of Senna being OP don't translate to an immediate buff from Riot to make her OP, but you know Riot, if something's fine, they'll break it.

"definitely not overtuned", just played against her, she built the support item....and then she proceeded to outdamage her adc and completely dominated the lane. She is just the ultimate champion, her kit is a perfect example of overtuned and overpowered. And here I though Yasuo's kit was overloaded, boy was I wrong.

E is overhyped. I’ve had more issues getting low health sniped by her fast global ultimate than dealing with her E.

Shes good, quite strong actuallyimo. I havent played into things like blitz/thresh or one of the mage supports but i imagine they would be lanes in which she will struggle.

Need to wait and see the new suppory items to see what they do to her.

Shes at about a 48% WR in the adc lane right now. Even less winrate as a support.. Probably will see some buffs

GOD WHY. Is this gonna be the "hmmn new release no good, time to buff" and then we get some op crap? I hope not.

48% winrate after 1 day is actually on course to OP territory, tbh.

I predict that she'll see quite some nerfs over the next months, especially to her base movement speed (for some reason she has 330, while all other long range (600+) ADCs have 325).

I think of the 10-15 Senna players I've seen, I think 1 actually went support.

I'd say right now she feels a little TOO useless when behind and a little TOO strong when ahead, but overall definitely a good champion. Not nearly as overpowered as people were claiming.

I love her. Been taking her top and I cannot believe how easily she wipes the floor with Yasuo, so I'll keep using her top and mid as long as that thing exists in its current form. Since she destroys some of the more overpowering champions so easily I fully expect her to be nerfed 1500 times before next month ends.
