Should Swain be reworked?

We all know what's wrong with Swain: he got nerfed into the fucking ground after the mage rework, was overbuffed to compensate, and they removed the one thing that made it possible to counter his ultimate, which was already very hard to deal with at all stages of the game. His E no longer interacts with the healing mechanic since Swain no longer heals based on damage dealt, and now the very thing he once used to clear waves is now on a cooldown so long that he is now forced to use his q and w to farm, which is highly inefficient given the long cooldown of his w, and the fact that his q is mainly supposed to be used in combination with his e to deal damage and secure kills, not farm. This means if he has a wave he needs to clear under turret, the only solution he has is to use his ult to defend it, waste a fuckton of mana, and set himself up for an easy dive the second he turns it off for the aforementioned reason and risk getting dived.

Without the ready accessibility of his ult Swain is useless as his ultimate is what allows him to fight and survive as that is his purpose and function as a mid-laner: a mage who doesn't blow up easily and can take just as much damage as he dishes out while acting as a strong deterrent against assassins, close-ranged mages, and other melee carries in general. At present Swain is a mess, and if riot adds additional downtime on his ultimate, it is going to cripple more than just his leg, he's going to need a complete kit overhaul as everything they've done to Swain over the past month or so has made him into a very unhealthy champion, both for the people who play him as well as those who play against him.

I obviously haven't covered everything, and I would genuinely like some opinions from higher ranked players and Swain mains in general, as I'm just a bronze 2 player who happens to have been maining the champion for two years because I've always been a fan of the tankier mages such as the master tactician and Malzahar (RIP), Kassadin (Double Rip), and Mordekaiser (RIP! RIP! RIP!) due to their unique design and gameplay mechanics.

He is in a good spot. Play mid, build item 3165 . Win games.

Didn't vote because that wasn't an option.

Swain has always been good, nd has always been on the backburner for a rework. He's just FoTM because he was played in LCS.

Was literally just reworked... All they will do to him is nerf him down the road.

Because they changed his healing values so that he always heals for what he would have gotten before if his E was on the target. That was basically a strict buff.

the very thing he once used to clear waves is now on a cooldown so long that he is now forced to use his q and w to farm

His R is still up EVERY SINGLE WAVE EVEN WITHOUT CDR.

Swain was broken, now he's reasonable. Get over it.

Swain is really strong currently. He is up for a rework sometime but not high priority according to riot.

Been playing since the beginning. Just have to play safer than before until something else changes. Q and W for minion farm is necessary. Also have to buy more mana/regen now to leave ult up longer and avoid 20s cooldown in some cases.
