This is a champion with a super powerful late game passive,
and she just out dueled a super early game champion
with half hp.
At lv5.
With only 2 stacks of passive.
Without any other factors (minions, teammates, turrents, etc.)

On topic now.
I haven't played Kindred enough to really say much on their balance, but I haven't ever felt that they were too oppressive. Also, I'd say that level 5 is a decent level for someone as mobile as Kindred to be able to handle Lee Sin. It's all in the kiting. Also, saying they were at half health is a bit untrue, since Lee engaged on Kindred when they were at full health in the video. He spent his ability rotation taking them down to half, and Kindred had the range and mobility advantage after that.
That's not so much a balance issue I feel as much as it is a simple composition difference. Range generally beats melee, especially after the melee champ puts their gap closer on cooldown.
