Just like riot on removing Draft.

They are only removing draft in regions with lower player bases/where few people actually play draft. NA is not getting it removed as of yet, if at all.

In an ideal world, ranked would have no problems and there'd be no reason to ever play normal draft over it, and thus normal draft would have no reason to exist and they could retire it.

But it isn't an ideal world and so normal draft isn't being retired except in the places where nobody plays it anyways.

Er, normal draft is the ranked-like setting that players go to in order to warm up for ranked or practice new champions that they wouldn't (and shouldn't) play in ranked, as well as off-roles and playing with multiple friends in a loose yet still competitive environment if you aren't comfortable with a true ranked setting.

There are plenty of reasons to keep draft pick alongside ranked
