"Everyone is uncounterable!"

I'm seeing these pop up like a few dozen rabbits in Australia. You look away and they've exploded into a soul-crushingly huge population.

So if the forums are anything to go by, all the champions in the game are invincible, uncounterable, undefeatable, need to be nerfed, and other synonyms of absolutes.

Or... you all just suck. Don't expect Yasuo, who is good at busting up squishies to be also good at killing Darius or Taric or melees and tanks in general, especially ones that have crowd control and can lock him down. One size does not fit all, and you need to get your head checked if you think it does.

I've seen ppl starting to hit the ground of skill floors... If you read threads you'll find out that:

  • Dodging a skill is not counterplay.
  • Building an item to help you against a certain champion is not counterplay.
  • Luring others' meaningful skills isn't counterplay.
  • Managing CDs isn't counterplay.
  • Going around enemies defenses and outposition is not counterplay.

I wonder if counterplay exists in any form now....

Only dodging is counterplay, learn the damn meaning before commenting.

Everything else is strategy(except the item stuff like Zhonyas, QSS). Counterplay is defined as having a chance to react or retaliate against a champion.

In other words, the stuff Annie and most of the assassins in this game lack. Old Leblanc and Kassadin are specially guilty of this.

Counterplay occurs in game, not in champion select. Counterplay is not hoping the enemy makes a mistake.

My definition of counterplay is to cripple the enemy's strengths or exploit their weaknesses while bolstering and safeguarding your own. I once went top lane Darius against Vlad. Supposedly he counters Darius, but I played smart, focusing on hit-and-run tactics and building magic resist items like Maw of Malmortius and the Scimitar. He couldn't kill me even once, though not for lack of trying.

Or another time, I was being antagonized by a Zed as Quinn. He'd ult in, get in his licks before blinking away and killing me with trivial concern. I responded by building an Omen. His onslaught couldn't kill me, and I was able to ult to him after he blinked away and respond with vengeance.

That's what people are forgetting in this climate: adaptation.

That isn't counterplay, that's strategy Riot has clearly stated what counterplay is.

There's a large difference between counter(which is what your definition is) and counterplay.

Counterplay in the most real and general meaning refers to the chance of nullifying, avoid, etc. what your enemy does in a way that is available to every character (few exceptions might happen) without the intervention of characteristic champion mechanics (such as Morgana shield for a magic damage + stun point and click counter). Ofc some things can be put also into counterbuild (building a certain item).

Except yasuo can explode a Darius and basically any tank in the game with his magical free armor pen and double crit. He explodes everyone equally

Except Darius also has % armor pen, he's beefier, hits slower but harder, and he can shut down Yasuo's mobility with his W and E.

Everyone has a counter. That isn't what people argue for. They argue for things that have very little counterplay compared to other champions within the same class. For example, Anivia has much more counterplay than Annie. Their jobs are the same, but Annie has less room for counterplay

Also there are certain things that have absolutely 0 counter play. Vayne's Silver bolts is one of them.

Annie has needed a change to her ult for a while now, there's no debate about that. An animation similar to her 2013 trailer appearance would be nice, where she tosses the bear into the air and Tibbers comes crashing down on the enemy would be nice, and it would give players a chance to get the hell out of the way.

Vayne's weakness, aside from her inherent squishiness, is the fact that she can only affect one person at a time with her Silver Bolts. Running at her one at a time like henchmen or the minions will only get your entire team killed. Locking her down with crowd control works wonders, but unfortunately most people neglect to bring any along with them. If she condemns the crowd control guy away and there's no hope to catch up with her, then disengage.

You missed my point. The ability itself has no counterplay. Not the champion. Their is not a single item you can build or a single ability in the game that can help you against vayne's third proc. Literally nothing.

Sorry but, its 50% BONUS armor pen, not 50% armor pen....

Add a last whisper into that and you may a swell have 0 armor
