If someone is afk or too lazy to click on the ff vote a 3/0 vote should seriously pass

Contrary to popular belief, no response is not the same as saying yes. People often move the Surrender Vote window off the screen because it's an obstruction to gameplay, so not voting frequently just means they want to play but don't want to be bothered by the window. The assumption that they are ok with forfeiting because they abstain from voting is extremely flawed logic.

The only counter I have to that is that 3 is a majority vote - most of the team wishes to end the game.

I get that, but 3 is way too easy to get. The % of forfeits would rise astronomically and be extremely painful for the 40% of players that didn't want any part of it. I recall them discussing lowering the requirement depending on gold deficit and time, but I don't know if they dropped that idea.

But vs the current situation where the 60% of players that want to go do something else? Letting 2 people hold 3 others hostage hardly seems fair. I have been in so many lost games that were needlessly prolonged because of one guy that automatically votes no on every surrender vote, and one guy that doesn't vote.

It's infuriating.

When you hit play signed up for a whole game, not "so long as I'm winning". They're not holding you hostage, they're holding you up to the commitment you made to your team when you queued up.

The problem being that the commitment is totally lopsided.

Most people want to leave and eat the L. It is fundamentally unfair.

Not sure why you're downvoted, but I agree.

If you don't vote, then you don't count. If 3 people have said "YES" and the other two can't be bothered to vote for whatever reason then the people that actually have an opinion on the matter should be heard and their wishes should go through.

As someone who is often the only vote not to surrender, and can often end up making a comeback and winning those games, I wholeheartedly disagree. Sometimes teammates even try to surrender while we are winning just because they are tilted.
