Here's a way to have Dynamic Queue and Solo Queue without killing Dynamic for specific group sizes.

Only allow groups of 2, 3, or 5 players.

This ensures that solo players are not needed to finish matchmaking.

This also prevents the scenarios where four players gang up on one, even if they are rare.

The end result would essentially be like seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, but with far more people participating in the 'team ranked' with groups of 2, 3, or 5, as opposed to solely 5.

I'd still call that a success, and it alienates the fewest amount of people overall.

Why not this, Riot?

it does alienate people who are a group of 3 that have a fourth person that wishes to join but the group does not let that person because then they would be 4 and would not get to queue.

I really do not think 4 queues are that much of a problem like I am sure the report system takes into account that they are 4 players if they decide to spitereport someone

And the same happens if you have 6 people. This was never an issue before in solo/duo. There are always normals or customs too.

Its not about reports. Its about 4 players literally abusing one in some cases. Player experience is the issue, not punishment.

but are groups of 6+ people that common compared to groups of 1-5? I feel there is some exponential dropoff in frequency somewhere here.

You mean specifically 4? Its not that uncommon to have 6 friends on, and 4 isn't extremely common either. Normals are enough to tell that even.
