Jungle Main in Bronze

It doesn't work well. Since I started playing in November, I have always loved playing Jungle and Jungle champs. The more I struggle to get out of Bronze, I am realizing that jungling is not worth maining in Bronze. It is impossible to carry when you play vs competent teams and your lanes over-feed. I don't play ranked with champs I am not comfortable/good playing, therefore I usually can produce a decent score and quality play. I know it's a team game, but carrying is possible from a lane rather than jungle. I am starting to work on my mid lane champs, because almost all mid lane champs fed can carry fairly easily in Bronze. This conclusion is drawn from multiple games where I either end insanely positive or die multiple times after putting my team ahead early in the game. Playing jungle relies far too much on the laners being able to play their roles well, and in Bronze that is hard to find consistently. I am not outstanding at this game, and I know I got a lot to work on also, but there comes a time where you have to realize that something isn't working anymore; regardless of how well I manage to do every game. I am a team player, I enjoy playing support and don't complain when I don't get my 1st pick of lane, I am far from toxic, but I am competitive and want to win games.

Cool.

But no, it's totally possible to carry from jungle, it's just that jungle is pretty much the hardest role to learn really well. Given that you've only been playing since November, you probably just don't have the game knowledge necessary to jungle really effectively. There's nothing wrong with that, and it just comes with time, so if you want to climb as a jungler, just keep trying at it.

And if you're really just wanting to climb ASAP, I would say pick up Akali or Annie in mid. Really easy and high kill potential.

I plan on practicing my Zed more, as well as Annie. In Bronze, I notice far more mid laners carrying than Junglers. I found this on another thread from awhile ago, and I think it sums up how I feel..

"A good jungler is a reflection of the laners. Trust me, a good jungler can do poorly just because all 3 lanes do poorly.

IMO, the most important thing a jungler needs is 1 laner to be really really good. Personally I love having a Tanky top w/ 1 form of CC on blue side, do well, OR on purple side a really dominate bot lane, so I can focus on mid and the other lane. A dominate mid laner just aint that important, if anything it hurts me more as a carry jungle since they dont need me to gank, there for i usually dont get ahead from assists and kill, and its harder to carry that way."

I am comfortable jungling, and I have quick clear times. I know how to gank with the Champs I play, but if I can't finish my first clear by the time they give first blood, it's uphill from there on out. I say mid lane because even though any other lane can carry also, the snowball potential of a mid lane pick like TF, Annie, Akali, Azir, etc makes it easier in Bronze to win. I would say that 70% of the games I play and lose are because of mid lane carries.

It depends on your definition of carrying, bro. MId lane isn't the only way to carry, and many people (but not the majority) go there thinking it's about the KDA, not the objectives.

The adc melts towers. Their job early game is to farm up and fulfill their niche, either becoming burst AD casters mid-game to keep their hypercarry counterparts behind, or powerfarming to hit their powerspikes to the late-game. They can carry by taking towers, roaming, and taking every lane's tower if possible with the aid of minions, alongside inhibitors. They're also partially in charge of dragon control alongside the support and jungler. In teamfights, they deal sustained damage, and are generally the ideal role for focusing the tank (yes, I said that). Kills are always nice, but you need to be able to fulfill your role and gather a proper amount of cs no matter what your KDA is. Not dying is worth more than a kill.

The midlaner's job is usually keeping the squishies out of the game, particular teamfights and objectives. An apc uses their superiour range and/or cc to hit the enemy team safely with the tank protecting them at the frontline. They either fight from the backline, swinging spells, or use superiour mobility to maneuver around the enemy and destroy the adc whose sustained damage won't defeat burst in a perfect setting. In laning, they delay the enemy laner from snowballing, giving their team's squishies a chance at survival. Assassins are similar, so I won't go too far on that.

The support's job is dragon control, protecting the adc above all else, and aiding the team in whatever way possible. Micromanaging is important, as well as map awareness. Roaming is not uncalled for, and can aid the mid laner or jungler if need be.

Top laners are pretty diverse, so they fulfill whichever role is needed. Bruisers keep assassins in check, tanks are on the frontline and lock down the enemy tank while cc'ing the enemy team. Dps optional.

The jungler's role is various, and depends on the champion in question. Their job is not to win everyone's lane, but rather to aid them in winning the game. Stress is high, and decisions must be made. Do you go help top lane out, or do you drop a ward for them out of kindness and gank bot lane whenever you see the enemy jungler setting up his tent again? Do you want to trade that dragon for a free tower, or contest with a teamfight? Be it a tank, an assassin, or a bruiser, junglers fulfill different combat roles. But their objectives is mapwide, and they either help take towers, shut down particular carries, or snowball lanes. No jungler is going to be the same.

As you can see from here, every role is important and crucial to "carrying" the game. "Carrying" is less about singlehandedly winning the game for your team, but rather doing your part and contributing a significant amount to win the game. You're going to get dumb teammates, but that's the way it goes. The game isn't about killing the enemies, but how your team can work together and always achieve an objective.

And keep this in mind: jungling is less about mechanics, and more about strategy. You don't win the jungle by killing the enemies, you win the jungle by getting exactly what you want when you want by planning ahead. You need to control the jungle.

All very good points, but ideally that isn't how the game works most times. From what I constantly hear, people only want me to win their lane for them. I enjoy jungling and I have carried many games, but there's also games that are to the point of no return. When no matter how hard I tried to serve kills up to my ADC, they cannot/wont finish the kills. So many times I leave a kill for a laner and they run away instead.

My personal thoughts going into each game as a jungler is this; Control my smites for strategic ganking (raptors prior to ganks, red or blue control, wolves if I am getting counter jungled, etc.), control my buffs, and at all costs control dragon. I've had games where I have 3-0 dragons, gank frequently enough (while still trying to farm up) but we are still losing every team fight. In team fights, my goal is to break to the back line and get the ADC and Mid laner before all else. Those are primarily the two biggest sources of damage.

I just find it frustrating when I am pushing more objectives than my laners are. Some games I'll get the only tower down. There's just no synergy with most teams, and it's frustrating. Games where people read my pings or my moves make the game insanely fun. I was playing mid the other day and from being a jungler primarily my entire LoL lifespan, we destroyed my lane because I could synergize with his ganks. I feel the same goes with support/adc.

Jungle is probably the hardest role to play in SoloQ because everybody expects you to help them win lane. My advice is to pick junglers that don't require your team to do well in order to carry. For example, sejuani may be a very strong jungler, but she is teamfight oriented and requires follow-up and coordination. On the other hand master yi can just shit on an entire team by himself (especially in bronze) if he gets ahead. Same with jax and udyr.
