Just 1v1ed a tank camille vs tank shen
And i've got to say, when neither party is dying in 3 seconds, the game can actually still be a lot of fun.
It was a flurry of each of us trying to position, dodging camille's W and E, trying to time W to block the true damage, while also trying not to put yourself between shen and his sword, and avoiding his E. The fights ran a little long, about 20-30 seconds, but it was a breath of fresh air from the normal pace of the game.
I really don't see what the problem is with long fights like this either, it requires multiple skilled uses of abilities and is very much testing a player's game knowledge (judging CDs) and their reaction time (dodging abilities).
It was like playing a game of chess again. Where there was a constant ebb and flow, of who was winning the fight. Baiting out moves, sacrifices to gain advantage long term. This game has seriously lost a lot of that over the years, and it's nice to know that it's still possible.
I don't fight competitively anymore, but holy crap did it actually bring back a sense of a competitive sport which i feel has been withered away to make the game more entertaining and flashy.
Edit;
The items at the time of the 1v1 were
