Ahri is being played often in the LCS now

Not only that

but she has always been a very good solo queue midlaner pick ever since the MS buff they given her despite multiple nerfs they have given her.

-She has been in a consistent 53%-54% winrate for the past 2-3 years -Has a decently high pickrate -pre 6 weakeness is gone -very safe and mobile

and there are only around 30 out of over 100 champs that have over 50% winrate.... Im surprised riot has given zero nerfs to her ....

Alright can we nerf my fox girl now so I can finally play her in peace, while people will pick her less and less?

often? what do you mean by often?

and no we can't, she's balanced in high elo, played in lcs =/= broken and op then again riot balances the game around plat+

So what nerf exactly?

I don't want to hit her damage - she already underperforms on a damage basis relative to most.

I think a decrease to the MS she gains on her Q when it's going out would be appropriate - leave the speed on return so it can be used for kiting but not as well for chasing?

Otherwise... maybe hit her early rank W damage (scaling up to the same at rank 5). Reducing the reliability of her damage in lane may bring her more in line. As long as damage nerfs aren't to her Q it should be okay I guess.

Yeah honestly nerfing Ahri is kind of hard without hitting something too hard but she definitely do need nerfs. I've tried to explain this for a long time but Ahri mains just refuses to listen. "Winrates and pickrates is nothing" so to say.

I feel like the ms speed on her q is really unecessary but at the same time really cool because it allowes kite pre-6.

Apparently Ahri has a high skillcap according to Ahri mains, so I'd probably hit her auto targeted damage. (W, R). Still make it rewarding to hit your skillshots though.

Kinda cool seeing this from an Ahri main, they're usually overprotective as hell and will do anything to defend their dear ahri from nerfs.

It's not just that - if you notice, quite a few of the Leblanc players have given up on Lb due to the last few nerfs (especially the most recent nerf in patch 7.5 - which was one which makes you wonder what on earth Riot was thinking). And many of them - and you can verify this on op.gg - have migrated to the next nearest champion in play style, and that was Ahri. So, don't worry - her long deserved nerf reward (after avoiding so many other nerf hits) is soon coming.

She's a very safe blind pick, I think that's why she's being chosen.

EDIT: Piglet just moved over from ADC and Jensen is one of the best mids in NA. You have to go safe in that situation when you are facing relegation.

It's so that the skins team is able to bring out SKT Ahri without any controversy.

E-Sports skin are not allowed to be given to champions who have not seen play in Esports (Naturally as they are Esports skins).

Their current thinking is that if she able to see a little bit Pro-play (Which only happens when she is very dominant), even while being somewhat overtuned. There won't be any upset when the skin comes out, as she will have seen recent Pro-Play.

yea nerf ahri

Glîtchy3/11/2017, 9:26:44 AM1 votes

"ahri was never nerfed"? her Charm no longer cancels dashes, however I feel this nerf was THE WRONG NERF, it should've been the true damage from her Q (the orb) that shoulda been nerfed, or her passive's heal effect, cause it's crazy good since it scales with the damage output.

SaltyKracka3/11/2017, 1:10:03 AM1 votes

Frankly, I'd suggest they hit the cast time and missile speed on Charm.

Directly impacts her safety and power.

Look at the numbers her damage really isn't that impressive out of the mid pool right now. The reason she is seeing play isn't because she's over powered but rather because of her mobility lets her grind by in certain match ups that have very few counter play option atm. Look at her success rate in LCS it's at something like 40% Winrate. Her wave clear isn't that great she can be pushed in rather easily and since she's heavily skill shot based it's not that hard to punish her. The truth is in most scenarios you can't win a trade against a good player unless u land the second part of your q, compared to other mids that have front loaded. Here's some numbers at lvl1: Ahri Q on the first pass does 40 base dmg and +35%ap 7sec cd, compare that to Syndra Q 50 dmg +70%ap 4 sec cd and much easier to land, Cassiopeia E 52+10%ap 0.75 cd, Viktor Q(1st hit 60+40%ap 8sec cd, Katarina Q 75+30%ap 11 sec cd. I tried giving u a range of different champs, why do I mention this because a good play can dodge the second part of her Q or play around it and when only half the skill shot lands almost any mid will out dmg her. I didn't go over mana costs but she's actually quite thirsty too look it up for yourself if interested. In summary if you think she's busted you clearly don't know how to player against her.

Remove bonus movement speed you get on Q.

Maybe bring the damage amp back on Ahri so she's easier to balance and actually make her require some skill to use.
