Champion with map altering abilities?

Can this not work for league or is riot too afraid to add this? Im talking about champs like broodmother or zagara and their creep/web spewing abilities that effect an area of the map they frequent. Thematically we have void creatures who can spread void corruption and i was really hoping irvern would actually change the jg. For example set up trees in the jg that wouldn't dmg you but entangle you for a long time and allied trees that would buff you and allies.

Im hoping if they ever do this they do it right.

I believe that Riot has previously stated that they tried this before for champions like Elise and Azir, but that either they couldn't finish it in time, as was the case with Elise, or that it would be too hard for low end PCs to handle, as was the case with Azir. Also, altering the map itself, and not just adding to it takes a whole lot of spaghetti code, apparently.

Closest we'll ever get is Skarner, I think.

Skarner is probably the closest Riot will ever come to champions fundamentally altering the makeup of the map. Things like Taliyah's ult are probably easier to code and easier to play around. It gets complicated if champions can cause significant changes to map flow especially if you play jungle. A situation where a single champion's ability to alter the map would negatively affect a single or class of champions and would be bad because of how hard it would be to play around the map itself. If you play enough ARAM games you'll eventually get stuck with an Evelynn and you will really understand just how hard it is to play a champion where the map itself is working against you. Even Ivern is better than Evelynn on Howling Abyss.
