Champion banned by trolls only when a pick intent. (Not about popular bans.)
I am not talking about banning new champs the first week they are out. I am not talking about banning champions that are banned every game.
I am talking about trolls that select their ban only from their teams pick intents. Before the new queue mode, if someone asked who you were playing, you never told them before bans were done. Now, you should always leave your pick intent blank to keep trolls from banning your pick. The whole point of pick intent was to work with your team not against them.
Also we have had games where someone picked a ban but didn't realize it was a pick intent. They wanted to undo their ban because it was a mistake.
Solutions: . . . . 1: Trying to ban a pick intent starts a vote. The banner is done with his turn & automatically a yes. It passes with 3 yeses and fails with a timeout or 3 nos. This allows the team to ban popular picks like during the first week of a new champion. But does not allow troll bans. My preferred fix. . . . . 2: Use the 'trade champion' button as a 'allow banning my pick intent' toggle button. By default it needs to disallow banning. If the team convinces you to play someone else you can then press the toggle and your pick intent can be banned. . . . . 3: Hide pick intents until after bans but require a confirmation if someone happens to ban an ally's pick intent. (If confirmation runs out of time, ban fails but it is not a dodge.) Then trolls can't ban a champ just because it was a pick intent. . . . . 4: Require a confirmation if someone chooses to ban an ally's pick intent. (If confirmation runs out of time, ban fails but it is not a dodge.) This gives trolls the run of the place but prevents accidents. Then use your AI + reporting to punish accounts troll banning. . . . . 5: When about to ban pick intent, change ban button color/flash and have warning label of "Ban Ally's Champion?"
