What I don't understand...

Why do people have so much hostility and hate for others in this game? I keep reading about these changes to ranked queue and I can't help but wonder why everyone thinks others will ignore or troll them.

Here's my reasoning for why people are overreacting:

Ranked is ranked. People want to win, that's why they play ranked. Why would anyone risk losing lp for a "huehue 4x. /ff our random is in promos." Better yet, what's the actual likelihood for this to happen in an environment completely different than normals?

You say you don't want to socialize, but this is a game about communication and teamwork. You are always socializing whether you like it or not. If you aren't playing your part in at least pings for information, you are already hindering the team.

Just because there are 3 or 4 people in a group, doesn't mean they won't talk through pings out text.

People aren't as bad as everyone seems to make them. What drives most people in ranked is the effort of winning. It is highly unlikely a group of teammates will turn around and bully you or anyone unless something antagonizes one another. There will be flamers, but those aren't as common in groups of premades.

The same goes for the solo guy, who says they won't flame, troll, or harass one of the premades or other solo players? It's a mixed bag anyways..

all in all people aren't really that bad. We all have our breaking points, but what makes a group of four random people you don't know any better than a group of four random people you don't know?

When stripped on consequences, people don't show much restraint. Therefore, on the internet, when something raises a person's ire, they're more likely to lash out.

They are, look at the Stanford Prison Experiment for example, its exactly the same lel.

That's a completely irrelevant to this situation. Comparing an online social interaction with days spent in a physical prison isn't the same.

You will also never know it's a premade unless they tell you

The thing about Leage is that you will have to play for at least 20 minutes no matter what happens, you cant disengage at all. So it acts like a "prison" already. Now when you got 3 or 4 premade "guards", its even worse. They can do aynthing, say anything, no one will believe you in /all chat anyway. They can report you if you do nothing wrong, they can make you lose and still report you and you cant do anything. If you afk to disengage they report you, if you mute them they probably just report you for "refusing to communicate",... Im not saying this will happen a lot (Lyterino also said something about that), but its just 1 reason as to why this is a bad idea.

But their reports if you do nothing wrong are scrapped, muting a person isn't failure to communicate if you still ping, that will also be scrapped in a report.

You think the premades have all the authority in the world, but they don't . they can't do anything to you without hurting themselves. No matter what you do, their reports will not count against you unless you ACTUALLY do something wrong.

As for the time, it's not a prison unless you consider every game a prison, because you can only surrender at 20 minutes no matter what mode, and if that's prison to you, you should step down from this game for mental and stress reasons

Well, it funcions as a "prison". A important way to deal with anger/ similar things is to just disengage, but League doesnt allow you to do that (until at least minute 20 and even then, our 3 or 4 man premades can stop you from doing that). In Dota for example, there is a system that lets you leave without a punishment under certain circumstances. This likely wont work for League but its something..
