I thought All for One was for Fun

And not complaining about not getting LeeSin or Gangplank and proceed to AFK, feed, or just not try

Some of us want to play for fun, like picking all Bard or Taric with a skin boost. This isn't ranked, this isn't even normals, this is a game mode built for fun.

It is fun until people only want to play the same champion every game and the majority pick means there's no chance to play something new.

Kubox10/18/2015, 10:15:17 PM6 votes

One thing to keep in mind is that a fun champion to you is not necessarily a fun champ for others. Sure, you might want to go full Taric team, but let's face it, the only fun part about Taric is spamming CTRL + 1. I love Taric, sometimes bring him bot for some lulz, but he's dreadfully boring in All-for-One. I tried it.

If all 5 members are together, then sure, pick Taric and go wild. But if one or two guys are forced into playing a certain champ that they find boring or bad, do not be surprised if they don't take it well. Sure, if they decide to AFK or Feed, it sucks. But maybe next time, think about the other players on your team before you decide to pick a champ that has high chances of pissing of your teammates.

Blitzcrank is a lot of fun

I played once Teemo in this game mode vs a team of Annie s. I had fun in that game. The next game teem get banned, i can't play him in one for all. I don't know why Rito banned teemo in this game mode. Its nut fun to play one for all without Teemo .

TurquoiseYoshi10/18/2015, 9:33:09 PM2 votes

I think Riot should make it so that both teams have the same champion. The most fun I've had so far was when both teams picked Darius.

I would have alot more fun if the majority mechanic didnt exist, it's not fun to go into solo Q only to be with a premade of 3 people that force you to play whatever they want, without my choice even being considered And what they want is always either Yasuo/Azir or Darius (ps: all of them suck on this game mode and are not not fun to play with or against)

The games I had fun was with Trundle Yorick Talon But hate when I get boring cheesy champs like Anivia Nunu

SLOWS DON'T STACK PEOPLE! PLUS BANNER!!

the "built for fun" comment you said is not really fair to other people. just had a game where it went south pretty quick so someone bought 6 tears and proceeded to feed on purpose because he thought it was fun and was saying things like KILL ME 5 MORE TIMES ILL HAVE A SCORE OF 420 in all chat. this game was a 50 min game and we could have won if this guy wasn't an ass.

I agree its ment to be fun, but if your not trying to win with power picks or comfort champs only play with a full group of friends (I do we played sona a lot so far and won a lot :) ). if you cant get a full group of friends to pick taric or bard why would the community want to play them?

I played a Bard vs Taric game, it was absolutely outrageous. The Tarics were crushed because of the ridiculousness that is 5 Bard ults and the Bard Qs.

Paletongue10/19/2015, 2:29:10 AM1 votes

Fun fact:

I won a OFA as Bard against LeeSin

that was the most fun game I've played in a while. So much dashing and portaling and stunning, oh my goodness it was glorious

Bladeglory10/19/2015, 5:18:39 AM1 votes

I think that, ideally, it should be in team builder with a ban phase after you all commit. This would help reduce whining AFKers and keep you from getting completely shut down in champ select.

You go to the featured mode and select the champ you want. It then finds you a team of that champion being built or prompts you to start one of your own. You can also choose Random to be inserted in a group that needs you. After you get a group of your five players, each one gets to choose a ban before the game starts looking for a group to pair you against.

This would allow you to find people who are actually willing to play the champion AND allows you to stop five hard counters you can think of, which would greatly improve the mode.

Tell me about it. Everyone just wants to play Darius, Heimer, Katarina or Ekko. The one game I actually got us all to be Ryze in was the most fun yet.

FastAsHeck10/19/2015, 11:39:35 AM1 votes

I played a match as darius (us) vs soraka yesterday. Their heals were insane, you would dunk one and while doing the animation she would be at 2/3 health again because of 2 ults and a w on her. We won that game because I decided to go off the road, and bought item 3060 and item 3165 to reduce the heals. Off-meta builds feel at home in one for all. Every empowered cannon would push until it died to a tower, because it took them so long to clear them with bananas that they stopped caring.

PS. they were all AP at first, they changed builds right at the end. A teammate also built banner after me, which made my day (someone actually accepted advice in this game!).

And other people want to play for fun, and fun for them is picking Lee or GP. There are people that afk when they don't get Bard as well. Their fun isn't your fun. Don't get all bent outta shape just because they don't want to play the champ you want to.

Wheatloaf10/19/2015, 2:28:31 PM1 votes

It's One for All...

All for One sounds like all 5 people are controlling a single champion on the field. That actually sounds entertaining. One guy on movement/AAs, and one on each ability, who else would want to see this?

BottleCapster10/19/2015, 8:16:22 PM1 votes

Tbh this is part of the reason these modes are temporary. As they go along, players will find which champs are the most OP when synergizing with themselves, and will start flogging you for trying to pick anything else. The issue isn't necessarily that OfA is a bad mode (Because it isn't), but the longer you leave these types of modes around, the more they'll establish their own metas, and become less fun, and more structured.. Its the same issue with URF tbh. Part of the reason it isn't a good idea to keep these modes permanently is that structured meta formation, the fact that they get less fun as you get used to the gimmick, and the fact that unlike ARAM, which did become a game mode, they aren't randomized. (Tbh Random OfA would be kinda fun) or Random URF

Dunkrius2g10/19/2015, 11:58:50 PM1 votes

Remember URf when it came out the 2nd time? Its gonne be the same for any interesting game mode thats gonna come out.

I've been having buttloads of stupid, cancerous, cheesy fun in One for All. This one battle was Blitz vs Rengar. We grouped up as the Blitzes and I bought a pink ward trinket. Whenever we saw that exclamation mark, I dropped a pink. Whenever we caught just one, he would get endlessly passed around and sodomized. I've also been destroyed by teams of swains. Literally they just become birds and ruin all of your hopes and dreams. Surprisingly, I was in a Bard vs. Riven where we absolutely destroyed the Rivens. But yea, the playerbase always has to ruin a good thing. People keep picking what they think are the easy win champs, not realizing that counters exist and decide a lot of how the game will go. Also, there are a lot of dodgers. People see a champ that they don't particularly like, or that isn't famously "good" and they bail automatically. It's really disappointing. Also had a few asshats rage and afk because they were feeding, instead of adapting their play to stop feeding. In one of these, I was the only "random" among a group of friends that was in queue together. 2 of them ragequit. It got me thinking about how toxic some people are, to even ditch their friends like that. Had another game as Karma vs Anivia. we were all doing well except this one scrub in duo top with me, as Karma, the play is fairly simple, yet he couldn't get a handle on it. He complained about how bullshit Karma was, because he wasn't able to dodge Anivia's slow-ass stun. He RQ'd, but we managed to win 4v5, Just because the matchup and higher skill requirement of Anivia was in our favor.

Ive been lucky i guess then lol. Im a jungle main looking for new champs so i got kindred, lee sin, elise, and fiddlesticks in order which is exactly what i wanted. BTW lee sin is the most op champ ive ever played, I went 30-2 and smashed people, wow that was fun.

OverpoweredSoap10/18/2015, 8:05:29 PM1 votes

I had people complain about getting Zilean and then feeding because "he's a garbage champ."

Enchanté10/20/2015, 1:01:35 PM1 votes

Honestly I don't really like OFA or URF, I know it's fun to be silly and stupid just for one game or something, but some of them just decided to pick a champ like Kata and intentionally feed 5 Dianas. Then they refused to surrender because they want to have more "fun".

These types of game modes are only enjoyable if you get good team mates. Or if you queue up with 4 other friends.

Romans VI XXIII10/18/2015, 8:11:18 PM1 votes

it was fun for the first few games, then it started getting repetitive. Either your champion owns theirs, or theirs owns yours. It is very rarely a descent match up, if at all.

Utopian10/18/2015, 8:55:20 PM1 votes

I've had horrible experiences with this game mode. I actually had fun in my 1. hame as Bard , but the next game my team voted for Taric and the enemy had Diana. Of c, we got crushed and people were flaming. The third game we got to play kata's, which was super fun, I actually got few doubles andone triple despite my top not knowing anything about kata. We lost that game because 1 guy insisted he did not care and wanted to finish th game faster, so he went top all the time, despite me saying if we went together we'd end it faster. My last game had a dude who wanted to play Yasuo. I said no, because I have no idea how to play him. I did not ban him, but majority voted for diana and suddenly he said he would troll, because he did not know how to play Diana- he told me to go supp if I could not play Yasuo (but when he got to play something he did not know how to use he got all whiny). He raged the whole game- when enemy got drake, when someone died. It truly gave me a headache, despite us winning. He even had the nerve to say "gg izi" at the end, although he almsot threw the game with his attitude and trolling. I won't play this game mode again- had my taste of it and I am done. The only game modes I had fun in were URF and Assension. Hope riot brings Assension back.

SpecterVonBaren10/18/2015, 10:54:57 PM1 votes

I kinda with it was One For All, it would probably help a little with this. I think part of the issue is that you can end up completely countering yourself and have nothing you can do about it in game.

thePandev10/18/2015, 11:53:40 PM1 votes

If it was just an ARAM game mode so many more champs would be viable, wouldn't have to worry about shit early game or whether one guy jungles or not, and if they combined it with URF then it would be a masterpiece.

LeafyGreen10/19/2015, 12:52:53 AM1 votes

I literally get screamed at for picking a "Sh**y Champ" and how n00b I am because I picked vayne one time. I personally had fun vayne vs. nid but people get so hurt over nothing.
