Riot maybe if you geared less toward damage
Then people will stop playing this game like it is call of duty. The objectives in this game are really just an "object" that you get because you don't feel like killing anymore.

the game is balanced for pro play too much now.
because pros don't feed in lane, or if they do die, they cut their losses and play safe. they have superior communication and can then devote resources to losing lanes or start making plays elsewhere to compensate.
In solo Q where jungler half the time is jerking off the krugs, the team ahead is free to continually abuse their XP advantage and dive again and again while towers take 4 shots to kill a level 4 support
Solo Q has always suffered because of pro-play being the barometer for balance; however, in the past that mostly seemed to apply to some champs being unviable in solo Q/low elo and others stomping low ELO but being unusable in pro play. Now, the balancing around pro-play has left casual to feel like an entirely different game similar to Call of Duty.
I think what you mean to say is that it is balanced for TEAM play. not PRO play. A game being centered toward high level mechanics and game knowledge is very good and makes the game interesting and fun to watch and gives newer players something to strive to. However, because it's a team game, and everyone plays like a soloq game, there are many more issues
its hard to take objectives if someone isn't dead
I would love to see a complete overhaul of items. I've been playing a lot of other MOBAs lately and I really like DOTA 2s itemization, the first half of the game is dominated by supports who have nothing but wards and invis smoke
Been saying things along this lines for years, but you put it so much better!
