It mostly feels bad because it affects your mastery score. The difference between an S and an A is you dying let's say. But let's say that death was you leading the enemy 5 on a wild goose chase while your team secured Baron, and the only way out was to dive into the enemy Nexus. That takes a lot of skill! Why are you being punished?
Honestly, in the early game, being executed is faster than recalling.
Executing is -generally- skill expression. It's also stupidity. But, stupidity that does not give the enemy team gold, which is what a death is. I don't think this can be coded easily so I don't mind if it doesn't happen. But it is a very good idea that can only benefit the game. It would negatively affect nobody so I'm not sure why anyone would be against this
