As opposed to a skill that was as mindless as old point and click taric stun but also aoe before it was changed, the delay is good. You don't necessarily cast it now with the expectation to stun. All you have to do is trap the enemy inside which can't be countered without blinks.

That's the beauty of it. I don't need it to stun. It severely limits their mobility and makes them jumpy, which usually leads to them getting stunned anyways. Free stacks~

I love Veigar atm, replaced Syndra with him(heh, I originally replaced Veigar with Syndra, but then Worlds happened) but I think the delay is perfectly justified for such a powerful skill.

It's a giant AoE stun on a champ with a delayed AoE 100% AP ratio. (that infinitely scales) I have caught out entire teams with my stun and singlehandedly erased them in that instant.

The stun is delayed for a reason dude. If it was instant you'd be complaining about no counterplay.
