Bring Thresh and Nami up to date?

Thresh recieved a nerf so his dmg isn't as big as it use to be and is now stuck as a support. Yes a Thresh support is great but mostly only for an engaging aggressive style. Yes if he plays passive he can always land hooks and lanterns late game but he can't collect souls if the enemy won't let him get close enough to grab them and without souls he is now the squishiest tank support in the game. Often because of these souls or maybe a failed engage he often gets caught cause he dealt dmg in some way and his mobility boots give nothing for his escape. Now his W saves teammates and his Q fails to save him mainly do to having to find something to hook that might not be there such as a jungle camp. I think something similar to the Tahm Kench being able to tongue grab a minion from a distance and devour should be considered a possible mechanic for Thresh. If he throws his hook he can target an ally, ward (everyone jumping to wards), tower, or something and able to reactivate it by targetting (if you know how to Kench QE) the object and pulling Thresh to it. I mean he can already pull himself to an enemy then why not an allied object? Even jumping to his own lantern works.

Nami is the opposite but similar. She lacks engage but is great at peeling but she herself often falls behind and gets caught since her peel deals dmg she loses her mobility boots. Well her engage lacks cause if she tries to land a Q she has also lost her greatest peel and her mobility boots and is caught easily. The only fix on her probably should be her shield granting a slow to anyone who attacks the person who is shielded or her Q if it misses will slow those around the area such as the sejuani ult when she misses cause honestly, wait till lvl 6 to engage or peel and your ult only being another knockup that is much easier to hit than your Q is just redundant and with slow speed can easily be dodged.

Huh? He's still arguably the strongest support and Nami's top tier if you hit her bubble.

Or instead of having mobility boots you get Boots of Swiftness and capitalize a bit more on %speed items and her flat speed passive. This way you have 100% uptime.

  1. This just in, a champion with 2 AoE knock up lacks engage
  2. This just in as well, the top picked support champion needs to be brought up to date

With mobility boots you can be anywhere fast and help many lanes or save people who are caught out. It's hard for hard cc Champs to really not roam.

Also the most picked doesn't mean your up to date. Just means their fun to play. As for thresh, he is either up close engaging or back peeling but the transition of the two really suck.

Nami has hard peel but engage on her ult. The sad part for her is she can only peel maybe 1 or 2 people with her abilities and her w helps with trading and ult has versitility but with everything she does its so well rounded in her kit but she can't do best at any of it.

Yes others deserve more updates but despite their kits downsides, they remain popular. I'm just asking that with as advanced mechanics as all the new champions have that these two can meet the new meta with cooler kits and fun outplay potential.
