ARAM is a joke right now

Sona is posting a 68.5% winrate right now. Ziggs a 67%. I just fought both on the same team, which also encompassed Lux, Varus, and Ahri. Keep in mind, Sona's winrate was NO HIGHER when she was DISABLED in URF. It's disgusting. There is NO winning against comps like that, and that is inherently unfair when a "random" distribution, as advertised, would keep comps like that from forming in the first place.

And you know what? I would be fine with that kind of crazy composition if it was rare-- a statistical outlier. But it's not. Over half of my ARAM experience is one troll team vs. one team of solid, S-tier rolls. How? How does this happen? How are these champions posting such incredible win and pick rates? It's supposed to be fucking random.

Just open up the entire champ pool for FUCK'S sake. It would solve fully half of ARAM's problems. I'm tired of your inaction on what otherwise is a fun mode. HA is the next Crystal Scar because of Riot's disgusting and outdated policy on alternate maps. It's fucking embarrassing.

I'm sorry you feel that way. ARAM is indeed a difficult map when you're faced with unfair comps. But it really comes down strategy and how to collapse on these hard ap carry's. Ping to friends or use a strategy to defeat them. The games champion pool isn't really meant for ARAM but thats why it's fun ^-^.

Sona isn't winning 70% of her games because people aren't using strategy against her.

There is literally no answer to a team having more damage, defense, utility, sustain, and CC than the other, yet that is the reality of ARAM.

Skill means very little in a matchup of Udyr/Olaf/Morde vs. Lux/Ziggs/Ahri, for example.

TLDR this whole thread: there are unwinnable matchups and that should be mitigated

Eh i like olaf in aram and have absolutely hard carried a few games with him building bruiser or damn near full ad, but some team comps are just pure cancer

i agree their are problems with aram. like how a cait can basically put a line across the lane with her traps. it obviously needs some balancing. Not much bard e can do on a map like that.

Would be funny to see the new champ on aram just noclip where ever he pleases and break the gamemode comepletely. Maybe then riot might at least talk about it.

You can Bard E into places where you originally can't cross except with Journey. Did you not know this?

ARAM has always been a joke, because of certain champs like that being so dominant, then you have champs that are 100% worthless with jungle dependent abilites/passives

or my favorite Gnar / Kled that can never transform or get skarl back

That's why it should just be ACAM(All Champs All Mid) with the 10 ban system. Some champs just don't deserve to be on that mode.

When a champ gets a 70% win rate, it isn't because NOBODY is using strategy against it. It's because often times no strategy will work. The reality is put ziggs behind a couple of tanks and anyone reasonably good at positioning and dodging snowballs will only die if he wants to go shop. His vulnerability is being flanked because he's extremely squishy. Well there really isn't any flanking to speak of in Aram. And most of the time if you snowball him, well his team is right there so you're dying before you get him. Lux is the same way. To beat them in Aram, you have to hope they don't have a front line or you have some similar champs and you have some gap closers or that they just don't know how to play them in Aram. If the other team has longer range poke and CC and you don't have those things, well you're likely to lose the game.

I mean, it is random. If I roll a die 10 times and 9 times have gotten an even number, what are the chances of my last roll being even? It is still 50% no matter what has happened before.

I have even been in a game where we got an Evelynn and rr'd her. The enemy team ended up getting her when they rr'd. So seems sorta random to me.

Are some characters and comps annoying? Yes.

Would opening up all champs help? Probably only a little bit.
