What will season 6 hold with every lane having its impact lessened?

other lanes will also be ADC.

Heavenly Yasha2 votes

So true

But other lanes will still only have one person. Bot will continue to have a 40% contribution to the outcome.

Daedalus8716 votes

False, with the addition of the Rift Herald, a new 1-2-1 meta will be adopted.

Thus mid lane will have a 40% contribution to the outcome.

xFrostKnightx1 votes

You are correct it will becomes a 1-2-1 meta.

But the problem is only Korea will do this. Everyone is too stubborn and attached to their old meta logic that we need 2 Bot (which was only because of dragon). Now that top has a buff people will try to keep it a 1-1-2 despite the changes.
People don't even let you test out new champions on different lanes without complaining, what hope will 1-2-1 have unless Korea does it really good and everyone copy's?

Daedalus8711 votes

I think the pro's in all regions will be quick to change to a 1-2-1 meta, and there's an international tournament in January (I think), so the sheeple will catch on then.

xFrostKnightx1 votes

I know I can trust in the pros, they have a ton more logic. (look back when they first did the adc/support top swap game)

It makes ADC solo viable (less gankable) and gives roaming supports a chance. Winning Mid first puts a ton of pressure on bot/top too and if Bot/Top lost lane? Who cares, the enemy laner will be too scared to push in case he get's 4 man ganked.

Jungle Lux God1 votes

That assumes that the mid lane is actually large enough to have 4 people fighting in a lane at one time.

I remember a couple of lane swaps happened in LCS where there were 4 people, and it looked like it was too cramped to fight in.

Daedalus8711 votes

Seems plenty large enough to me. But that's just going off of every time bot tower falls before mid.

Game will be 5 ad carries vs 5 ad carries, bot lane will still matter because dragon. Top lane will matter now because of new creature to kill.

Teleport nerfed.

Everything not adc nerfed.

Harrowing not happening.

sad times are upon us :(

Daedalus8711 votes

With Dragon and Rift Herald both being up around the same time, mid lane will have 2 champs.

Yeah, Ez with Ash Support vs Kog Maw with Varus support. Fun times.

Daedalus8712 votes

I don't think we will see a 5 ADC meta.

The most I think we will see is 3 ADC's with Megatanks and Anti-ADCs Supports and Junglers.

Orangesilk1 votes

Graves jungle will be a thing, so it's really 4 ADCs and the tanky hard engage support for the kill lanes, say Nauti.

Daedalus8711 votes

I know Graves jungle will be a thing (provided things on the PBE don't change too much), but I think 4 ADC team comps will generally get beaten by teams with 2 tanky guys. It will be something like 50% more tank with 85% damage.

2 - 1 - 2

an adc/support (tank) top and bot, so you have two meatshields to peel and an adc with long range mid. 2 or 3 teleports (even after the nerfs) to counter ganks and set up ganks by the supports and mid.

adc are already the role thats best at pushing turrets. so ofc theyd also profit most from the rift herald buff.

Daedalus8711 votes

But then you're giving up all that jungle farm and the threat of having a jungler appear at any moment.

Wizardavar1 votes

I can tell you grave jungle really works because of the knock that allow him to "kite camp" and a slow on his W allow him to gank while bring tons of upfront and sustained dmg.

Daedalus8711 votes

I think that having a second tank would be much better than having a 4th ADC.

It has nothing to do with who can and can't jungle.

Cloud Potato1 votes

There's always the option to buy 1-2 offensive items then full tank.

Daedalus8712 votes

Then you lack the cc to be relevant.

I've won games when my team was down 10k+ gold because their team lacked tankiness and cc.

Wizardavar1 votes

That's true, but there some ways to equalize the field with the lack of CC, but having a tank is always better.

Season 6 mages are going to be 3rd class and most won't even realize since win rates won't be affected due to both teams having them. How effective they are vs every other class of character however is going to go straight down the shitter with the game wide buffs to MR and nerfs to both stats and costs of items. Zhonya's will be literally the least cost efficient item in the game. 3200 for 80 AP, and an active that usually can't save them anyway, nice job Rito. And before anyone says it's just the PBE, go smurf yourself, 99% of PBE changes go through to live and have since 2012 at least.

fééd l0rd1 votes

and this season mages were 2nd or 1st class. whats the deal?

Cloud Potato2 votes

The deal is that everyone should be 1st class.

I mean hopefully this post was actually being serious and not just treading for easy upvotes by being a pessimist.

But in my opinion, I think season 6 changes will relieve some of the pressure bot lane, and make it less common that entire team fights happen in bot lane during the early game. If I had anything to really hate about bot lane is that it's boring and having everyone in the game on your ass for the entirety of the game and not just late game is not fun.

Hopefully adding another objective, and making TP less suitable for mid laners to take commonly will spread the pressure around.

Dregn hun1 votes

Since there is going to be and adc in the toplane and and adc in the middle and jgl aswell, there isn't going to ba that pressure on bot.

Silents4291 votes

I'll file that under things that won't happen.

MEMEME6703 votes

You mean which teams OTHER laners teleport to bot lane better, right?

Don't act like other lanes have no influence.

My Waifu Vanilla1 votes

No but it is much easier to run away with a game with a fed ADC. There is a reason people tp bot....to get the ADC fed. Dragon and turrets are merely a bonus tacked on to getting your adc loads of cash money.

Tis a nice day3 votes

I personally thought it was top lane snowballing (especially when it's Riven) that had the most impact.

Only Play Darius1 votes

She has an impact because once she wins top lane she teleports botlane and gets her ADC a double kill. Either that or she becomes such a pain in the ass to deal with that she draws attention away from her ADC who farms up undisturbed for 30 minutes and comes out of nowhere with 6 items by the time you have finally dealt with Riven.

Oerba No Naja1 votes

this is actually true , the win depend on how good is your bot . but now with all others champs getting nerfs and the preaseason designed for adcs it will be disgusting

Mael bro1 votes

With these marksmen changes, Riot further developed this 'teamwork' mentality and now basically the jungler and the support will have to bring their A game to getting their ADC fed.

Only Play Darius1 votes

Why should the game revolve entirely around getting your ADC fed? Why can't the jungler have personal goals? It isn't fun, I specifically remember a game where we absolutely stomped the enemy team 4v5, but couldn't take towers and press our advantage simply because our Draven was AFK and we eventually lost. I have won plenty of 4v5's where we had an ADC.

I don't like putting all my siege on someone else and knowing that I can't do anything by myself because splitpushing doesn't work in the double TP meta. And I don't like playing ADC either because it's a lot of pressure knowing that the capacity to end the game is 100% reliant on me not fucking up, I have singlehandedly thrown games because I was forced to ADC and got caught out, even if we won the teamfight we couldn't siege or take baron because I was dead.

ADC is the one role that has always been required. There have been months where assassins were unplayed, tanks were unplayed etc. and you didn't need them in a team comp, but this has never been the case with ADC's, (except for Mord rework but that just shows how brokenly overpowered a melee needs to be to work as an acceptable substitute for an ADC.)

The game always has revolved too much around the ADC. The ADC takes towers and that is the only reliable way to win the game. The support sacrifices themselves to save the ADC. The tank sets up kills for the ADC. The mage keeps people away from the ADC. The assassin kills the opposing ADC. The fighter kills the assassin trying to kill their ADC. I was hoping that the ADC rework would actually make other classes have the means to become acceptable substitutes for the team's carry and siege, and would make ADC more of a job than a champion type. I was wrong.

Really? I never noticed that bot lane has such a powerful role in determining the game. I feel terrible than all those times I've won lane but lost the game or lost the lane but were carried to victory.
